Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Provides three extra-base hits
Story went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-8 loss to the Giants.
Story finished only a single short of the cycle, but he didn't have a legitimate chance of attaining the feat since he hit the homer during the ninth inning. The 26-year-old has a .250/.294/.625 slash line with five home runs in 12 games since coming off the injured list July 2.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: On bench Wednesday
Crawford is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Crawford is 10-for-24 with four home runs and 12 RBI since the All-Star break, but he'll head to the bench Wednesday following a string of six straight starts. In his place, Donovan Solano is starting at shortstop and hitting eighth.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Day off Tuesday
Arcia is not starting Tuesday against Atlanta.
Arcia heads to the bench for the third time in six games. Tyler Saladino again takes over at shortstop.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Hits three homers in doubleheader
Crawford went 6-for-9 with three home runs, nine RBI and four runs during a doubleheader against the Rockies on Monday.
In the first game, Crawford was 5-for-6 with a pair of long balls and eight RBI, as the Giants routed the Rockies, 19-2. His third homer of the day was much more important in the night cap, as the Giants won that contest, 2-1. The doubleheader performance did wonders for Crawford's numbers. He is now batting .240 with nine home runs, 39 RBI, 36 runs and two steals in 292 at-bats this season.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Three hits in loss
Rojas went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Mets.
After going 0-for-7 to begin the second half, Rojas rebounded with his 11th multi-hit effort in his last 20 games -- a stretch during which he's slashing .361/.396/.482. The 30-year-old doesn't offer much upside in counting stats, but he's proving to be a useful fantasy asset for rosters that need a batting average boost.
-
Trea Turner SS | PHI
Nationals' Trea Turner: Collects 22nd RBI
Turner went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.
Turner tied the ballgame in the seventh inning with an RBI single to right field, but it was the Phillies who would come away with a victory in the series finale. He's now collected a base knock in five of his last six matchups, and he's slashing .280/.336/.471 with seven homers and 22 RBI over 53 contests this year.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Out of lineup Sunday
Seager is not in the lineup for Sunday night's game at Boston, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Seager was activated off the injured list and started the first two games of the series, but he'll take a seat versus southpaw David Price after going hitless in nine at-bats. Chris Taylor will take over at shortstop in his absence Sunday.
-
Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Sitting second straight day
Edman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
With Matt Carpenter returning from the 10-day injured list following the All-Star break, Edman's opportunities could dwindle unless manager Mike Shildt is willing to confine Kolten Wong to the bench more regularly. Edman has produced three home runs and three steals through his first 22 games in the majors, but a .288 on-base percentage has limited the real-life impact of his counting-stats production. He'll sit for the second straight day while Carpenter starts at third base and Wong mans the keystone.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Receives rare day off
DeJong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Diamondbacks, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
DeJong started the last 26 games for the Cardinals but will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale. The 25-year-old has struggled with a .605 OPS in that stretch. Yairo Munoz is starting at shortstop and batting second in his place.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Smacks 20th homer
Story went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 17-9 loss to the Reds.
His fifth-inning shot off Tanner Roark was a drop in the bucket given all the scoring on the night, but it did give the shortstop 20 homers for the fourth straight season to begin his career. Story is now slashing .287/.352/.546 through 79 games, numbers right in line with last year's performance.
