Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Hits first big-league homer
Camargo went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Nationals.
This was his first big-league home run, and he is awfully hot at the plate right now. Camargo is 10-for-16 with four doubles, two walks and two strikeouts over his last five games. It will be difficult for the Braves to give him everyday at-bats in the second half, but he should play enough to have deep-league appeal.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Out of Sunday's lineup
Seager is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts will grant his star shortstop a day of rest prior to the All-Star festivities. Enrique Hernandez will draw the start in Seager's absence, batting sixth.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Explodes for four-hit day Saturday
DeJong went 4-for-4 with two RBI from a run-scoring double and a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Mets. He also hit two other two-baggers and scored twice.
The rookie's line is up to .306/.326/.581 following Saturday's effort, which also extended his hitting streak to five games. DeJong has also homered in back-to-back contests and is hitting .435 with seven extra-base hits over his first eight games of July.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Out of Sunday's lineup
Story is out of Sunday's lineup against the White Sox.
Pat Valaika will start at shortstop and hit sixth. Story has been a pretty big disappointment this season, and while he is hitting .265 over his last 25 games, his 36.5 percent strikeout rate and .386 slugging percentage over that stretch do not inspire confidence.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Out of lineup Saturday
Swanson is not in the lineup Saturday against Washington, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Swanson takes a seat for the second time in the past four games as Johan Camargo draws another start at shortstop. Manager Brian Snitker has said that he wants to give Camargo as many at-bats as possible while he continues to produce at the plate. Swanson will likely return to the lineup for the final game of the series Sunday.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Marlins' Dee Gordon: Four hits in Friday's win
Gordon went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Giants.
Few players can collect hits in bunches the way Gordon can, and the second baseman now has 10 of them in 18 at-bats over his last four games while scoring eight runs. He'll take a .299/.345/.364 slash line into the final Saturday before the All-Star break.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Hits seventh homer Friday
DeJong went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in Friday's loss to the Mets.
He's stabilized the shortstop position since taking over from Aledmys Diaz, and DeJong is now slashing .304/.333/.582 with six homers, 12 runs and 13 RBI in his last 22 games. The 2015 fourth-round pick made a quick ascent through the Cards system and while his 4:38 BB:K so far in the majors suggests his batting average is due for some regression, his power numbers are for real -- he slugged 22 homers last year at Double-A and already has 20 between Triple-A Memphis and St, Louis this season.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Scuffling at plate in Triple-A
Diaz is slashing .188/.182/.375 over his first seven games with Triple-A Memphis.
The 26-year-old shortstop has provided some pop in the form of three doubles, a homer and seven RBI, but he's otherwise struggled and has yet to draw a walk. Diaz was somewhat surprisingly sent down to Memphis on June 28 despite a respectable .260 average with the big-league club, with the goal presumably being to have him make a few adjustments at the plate and return as a more effective hitter. A similar approach seems to have worked wonders for outfielder Randal Grichuk, but Diaz actually seems to have regressed in the early going of his minor-league stint.

Chase d'Arnaud SS | SF
Padres' Chase d'Arnaud: Sent outright to El Paso
D'Arnaud was outrighted to Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
The utility infielder was designated for assignment on Independence Day, and it seems like his sub-.200 batting average wasn't enough to warrant any interest while he was exposed to waivers. His major-league experience could make him a trade chip down the line or even a callup candidate in case of injuries, but for now he'll toil in the minors as an organizational depth piece.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Dons golden sombrero Thursday
Owings went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Dodgers.
After producing at least one hit in all but one of his 19 appearances from June 10 to July 4, Owings has turned in back-to-back hitless efforts, going 0-for-8 with six strikeouts. There's no reason for Owings' fantasy owners to panic given the brevity of the slump, but manager Torey Lovullo could look to give the 25-year-old a day off in one game of the Diamondbacks' three-game set with the Reds to close out the first half.
