Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Heads to bench Saturday
Diaz is not in the lineup Saturday against the Pirates, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
Diaz is just 1-for-8 with three strikeouts over his last three games, so he'll head to the bench for a breather. Paul DeJong will slide over to start at shortstop for Diaz, allowing Greg Garcia to notch a start at the keystone.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Homers for second straight game Friday
DeJong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates.
DeJong's 405-foot blast to right, his second in as many games, gave the Cardinals a 3-2 lead they would ultimately relinquish. The 23-year-old has displayed excellent pop in June, smacking four round trippers over his last seven games alone and adding a pair of two-baggers during the month as well. Factoring in Friday's production, DeJong's average and slugging are up to a solid .264 and .528, respectively, but the fact he's only drawn one walk in 73 plate appearances has his OBP at an unsightly .274.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Diagnosed with hamstring cramp
Seager left Friday's game with a hamstring cramp, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Fantasy owners and Dodgers fans alike can breathe a sigh of relief. When Seager grabbed at his hamstring rounding first base, it was easy to assume the worst. Seager should still be considered questionable for Saturday's game, but it doesn't sound like a disabled list trip will be required.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Leaves with apparent leg injury
Seager was forced to leave Friday's game with an apparent leg injury, SBNation.com reports.
Seager advanced to second base on a second-inning RBI single but pulled up and grabbed the back of his right leg on the way there. It appeared to be a hamstring injury by Seager's reaction, but we'll have to wait for an update from the Dodgers medical staff to know for sure. If so, though, the Dodgers could be losing one of their best players to the disabled list. For now, consider him day-to-day.

Gavin Cecchini SS | NYM
Mets' Gavin Cecchini: Heads back to minors
Cecchini was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Cecchini wasn't in line to see everyday at-bats with Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) returning from the disabled list, so the Mets decided to send him back to Las Vegas. The 23-year-old held his own during a five-game stretch with the big club, slashing .286/.286/.500 with one homer in 14 at-bats, so he could be back before the end of the season should another opportunity arise.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Hits three-run shot
Owings went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run during Thursday's win over Colorado.
Owings has cooled down significantly after a torrid start, so Thursday's homer was a welcomed blast for fantasy owners. He's already banked an excellent line of counting starts (nine homers, 43 RBI and 29 runs), but maintaining his .291/.323/.470 slash line could prove difficult. Being locked into a high-scoring lineup and calling hitter-friendly Chase Field home should help him buoy his virtual value going forward, though.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Gets day off Thursday
Seager is not in the lineup Thursday against the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Despite riding a three-game hitting streak, Seager will head to the bench for a breather after starting all 19 games this month. Chris Taylor will take over for him at shortstop, giving Franklin Gutierrez a chance to start in left field.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Homers against Phillies
DeJong went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to Philadelphia.
With Kolten Wong (forearm) on the disabled list, DeJong is receiving plenty of playing time and hitting well. Since being recalled from the minors on June 14, the 23-year-old infielder has gone 8-for-37 at the dish with three homers, six RBI and five runs. DeJong sports a .265/.275/.500 slash line for the campaign and sports fleeting fantasy value in deeper settings.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Batting average climbing
Arcia went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored in Wednesday's victory over the Pirates.
Not showing up in the box score was Arcia's defensive gem to notch the final out of the contest, but he made plenty of impact offensively as well. Arcia was hitting just .208 after an O-fer on May 17, but in the 31 games since he went 37-for-111 -- a .333 average -- and is now hitting .267 on the season. With Arcia's bat catching up to his glove, expect him to continue starting at shortstop nearly every day.

Nick Ahmed SS | TEX
Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Smacks first homer of June
Ahmed went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk and two runs against the Rockies on Wednesday.
He got his piece of Arizona's 16-run Coors Field explosion by hitting his first homer since May 31. This was only Ahmed's ninth start among the team's 17 games in June, and he'd been awfully quiet over the prior eight. Most of his numbers are sitting at personal bests right now, but that doesn't mean they do much for fantasy owners except in deep formats.
