Nationals' Trea Turner: Joining Nationals on Friday
Turner was recalled from Triple-A on Friday, MASN's Mark Zuckerman reports.
It is unclear how long Turner will be up with the big league club, as this was the corresponding move to Ryan Zimmerman being placed on paternity leave. However, Turner should be owned in most formats, as the Nationals have waited long enough to gain an extra year of control even if they keep him up for the rest of the season, factoring in his time on the active roster in 2015. Danny Espinosa sports a .637 OPS, and while he has offered strong defense at shortstop, Turner offers a pretty clear overall upgrade at this point. The 13th overall pick in the 2014 draft, Turner has really impressed at every stop, and that has continued this year at Triple-A. He is slashing .310/.376/.472 with three homers and is a perfect 17-for-17 on stolen base attempts.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Hits third home run Thursday
Baez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI against the Dodgers on Thursday. He also made a number of strong defensive plays to preserve the Cubs' 7-2 win.
Baez has just a 3:19 BB:K, but he's been a valuable member of the Cubs this year, playing left field and at all four infield positions. Manager Joe Maddon is impressed: "I like the fact that when he's not playing, he's ready to play. I go down and bump fists before the game, and he's always right here. He's in the moment. I can see in his face he's happy, he gets it and he knows his time is coming."

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Adds another home run Thursday
Story went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Reds.
It seems almost ho-hum at this point, as Story continues to produce at an exceptional clip. The 23-year-old is tied for second in the NL in home runs with 15 (most among all shortstop-eligible players) and ranks third in the NL in RBI with 38. Jose Reyes is working himself back into game shape in the minors, but Story isn't going anywhere.

Chase d'Arnaud SS | SF
Braves' Chase d'Arnaud: Tallies half of Braves hits versus Bumgarner
D'Arnaud singled off Giants' starter Madison Bumgarner in his first two at-bats and finished the day 2-for-4. His two hits made up half of the Braves total hits for the day.
In the midst of a rebuilding era, the Braves may have stumbled across something with d'Arnaud. The team signed him as a free agent in November and called him up on May 2. Although the sample size is admittedly small, anything productive stands out in MLB's worst lineup, and the 29-year-old has certainly stood out since joining the club. He has six multi-hit games in his last 13, and has gotten on base in 12 of his 14 starts. D'Arnaud is slashing .351/.431/.474 through 57 at-bats while walking eight times, swiping a couple bags and notching five double and a triple.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Closing in on .300 with two hits Thursday
Owings went 2-for-4 with a RBI in Thursday's win over the Astros.
The 24-year-old pushed his average up six points to .287 while recording his 18th RBI of the season with Thursday's effort. Owings has seen regular playing time for a few years now, but he seems to be finding his way in the 2016 campaign. After hitting just .171 against left-hander's last season, he's averaging .292 against southpaws this year. Owings is on pace to tally 50-plus RBI and 20 stolen bases.

Nationals' Trea Turner: To join Nationals for weekend series
Turner will join the Nationals in Cincinnati on Friday for their series against the Reds, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.
Rumors surfaced Thursday about a potential promotion for Turner after he was left off the lineup card at Triple-A Syracuse. Ladson reports that Ryan Zimmerman will likely be placed on the paternity list Friday, which would open up a spot on the roster for Turner. However, given that a player can only be on the paternity list for up to three games, this could potentially be an abbreviated debut for Turner. Once the move is made official, Turner's role with the team moving forward should come into focus. The hyper-talented prospect has 21 extra-base hits in 197 at-bats at Triple-A this season.

Nationals' Trea Turner: Candidate to be recalled in near future
Turner, who is not in the lineup at Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday, is a candidate to be called up by the Nationals in the coming days, James Wagner of the Washington Post reports.
According to Wagner, Ryan Zimmerman may be placed on the paternity list in the near future, which would open a roster spot for the Nationals to promote a top minor leaguer. Turner, a former first round selection in 2014, has been on a torrid pace at Triple-A Syracuse this season, slashing .310/.476/.472 with 13 doubles and five triples over 197 at-bats. The young shortstop should be on fantasy owners' watch lists given his potential fit with the Nationals in addition to the fact that he's a Top-10 prospect in all of baseball. There is nothing definite at this point regarding Turner being called up, but the fact that he was out of the lineup at Syracuse on Thursday could mean that there's something brewing.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Starting Thursday
Rojas is in the lineup and batting eighth for Thursday's game against the Pirates, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
With Derek Dietrich day-to-day with a wrist injury, Rojas will likely find himself in the starting lineup more often than not until he is back to full strength. The 27-year-old is hitting .268/.311/.321 with seven runs and six RBI through 41 games this season.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Scores winning run in return to action Wednesday
Rojas (shoulder) entered Wednesday's game against the Pirates as a pinch runner and scored the winning run.
Rojas, who has not seen the field since suffering a shoulder injury Monday, was forced into action after Derek Dietrich hit by a pitch on his left wrist. Rojas stayed in the game and played defense, confirming previous reports that he'll look to play through the injury. Rojas will likely put his ailing shoulder to the test with Dietrich expected to miss a few games.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Out Wednesday
Crawford is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Braves.
Crawford hit .267/.322/.448 with four home runs and 23 RBI in 28 games throughout May, but will receive a day off to rest while Kelby Tomlinson starts at shortstop.
