Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Hits first homer of season
Seager went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Giants.
Seager's first blast of the season brought the Dodgers within a run of the Giants in the eighth inning of a game they'd go on to lose. Despite the homer, he now finds himself in a 2-for-15 slump, and his batting average is down to .267.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Gets two more hits Saturday
Diaz went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's 9-8 loss to the Reds.
The rookie continues to impress, collecting his second straight multi-hit game and pushing his average over .400 in the process. Diaz has impressively hit safely in eight of the nine games he's played, and contributed across the board. He's collected five doubles, a triple, two homers, eight RBI, and a walk, while slashing an outstanding .406/.424/.813 line over 32 at-bats.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Tallies two hits in 2016 debut
Baez (thumb) was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored in Saturday's 6-2 victory over the Rockies.
The 23-year-old was impressive in his first appearance of the season after a DL stint due to a thumb injury. Baez did whiff twice, not exactly surprising given his rustiness and the fact that he fanned 119 times over his first 289 career at-bats. While he undeniably has plate discipline issues to sort through, the third-year shortstop is expected to thrive in what figures to be his most extensive amount of playing time at the major league leavel in 2016.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Back in action Saturday
Crawford (hip) is back in the lineup Saturday, manning shortstop and hitting seventh against the Dodgers.
He missed one game with the sore hip, but the injury was apparently minor, as he'll make it back Saturday against lefty Scott Kazmir. Prior to the injury, Crawford had two home runs while posting a career-best 10.8-percent walk rate through 37 plate appearances.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: In the lineup Saturday
Baez is in the Cubs' lineup Saturday against Colorado, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Baez was activated from the DL on Friday after beginning the season rehabbing at Triple-A Iowa. He'll make his first appearance of the season Saturday, starting at second base and hitting fifth in the order. The 23-year-old figures to see time in both the infield and outfield going forward.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Blasts a three-run homer
Diaz went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer, a double and two runs Friday against the Reds.
Diaz's second blast of the year was a three-run shot that broke open the game in the third inning of a Cardinals win. He now has piled up five extra-base hits in his last five contests. In addition, he's also posted hits in seven of the eight games he's played in 2016.

Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Giants' Ehire Adrianza: Suffers broken foot, out for six weeks
Adrianza has been diagnosed with a fractured left foot and he is expected to miss six weeks, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.
Adrianza suffered the injury Thursday when he fouled a ball off his left foot. Although X-rays initially came back negative, he has since been diagnosed with a fracture in his left foot. He'll be out through late May or early June based on the timetable given by the Giants, meaning that the club may have to recall a versatile infielder to provide depth on the left side of the infield.

Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Giants' Ehire Adrianza: Out of Friday's lineup
Adrianza (foot) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.
The 26-year-old is not a lineup regular, but he probably would have started Friday if healthy, with Brandon Crawford (hip) banged up and the Giants facing Clayton Kershaw. X-rays were negative after he fouled a ball off his foot Thursday, but Adrianza's status for the rest of the weekend is up in the air.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Not in Friday's lineup
Crawford (hip) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.
Manager Bruce Bochy was hoping Crawford could give it a go despite some hip flexor soreness, but the 29-year-old is out of the lineup, replaced at shortstop by Kelby Tomlinson. It's uncertain if the Giants will give Crawford additional rest, but they are facing another lefty on Saturday (Scott Kazmir), so that could factor into the decision.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Not in Friday's lineup
Owings is out of the lineup on Friday against the Dodgers.
Owings will remain on the bench for the second game in a row with right-hander James Shields on the mound for the Padres. Socrates Brito will take over in center and bat second in Owing's place.
