Pena went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Marlins. He was also hit by a pitch.

Pena stretched the Astros' lead to 3-0 with his two-run shot in the fourth inning. He's gone 5-for-16 (.313) with three of his six stolen bases this year in his last five games. The rookie shortstop has maintained a solid .277/.330/.468 slash line with nine homers, 27 RBI and 26 runs scored through 53 contests as a regular presence in the bottom half of the lineup.

Owings was placed on unconditional release waivers Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Owings spent the first two months of the season on the active roster, but he did very little with his limited opportunities, hitting .107/.254/.143 in 68 trips to the plate. His career 69 wRC+ means he'll likely be looking for a minor-league deal on the open market.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs in a win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Crawford's career-best tear at the plate continued in stellar fashion Saturday, with the veteran shortstop pushing his season line to .304/.395/.446 with his third multi-hit effort in the last four games. Crawford has just one extra-base hit, a double, over that span, but he's opened June reaching safely in nine of his first 10 games.

Anderson (groin) will start his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Charlotte, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The White Sox are losing ground in the AL Central, so getting Anderson back as soon as possible is a priority. With that in mind, he could be activated sometime next week if the rehab assignment goes well.

Velazquez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 11-6 victory against the Mets.

The Angels slugged five homers against New York in the win, and Velazquez contributed to that tally with his 402-foot solo shot in the sixth inning. The shortstop is mired in a 2-for-31 slump over his past 11 games, but both of his hits during that span have left the yard. Velazquez has four homers and eight stolen bases on the season, but he's slashing a paltry .177/.226/.280 across 178 plate appearances.

Mateo is not in Sunday's lineup against the Royals.

He is 2-for-25 with 12 strikeouts in nine games this month. While Mateo is a strong defender, he could lose out on everyday playing time if he can't get out of this slump. Richie Martin is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

Edman went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

The 27-year-old played hero in this one, launching a walkoff blast in the ninth inning after the Cardinals were facing a 4-1 deficit heading into the bottom of the eighth. Edman is rolling to begin the month of June, collecting a hit in nine of 10 starts and slashing .293/.383/.439 with two homers, three steals, three RBI and 10 runs.

Pena went 0-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Marlins.

Pena reached on an error, stole second and scored on a Jose Altuve double in the fifth inning, but that was the only run the Astros could muster. Through nine games in June, Pena has yet to record hits in consecutive contests. He's cooled off to a .270/.322/.449 slash line with eight home runs, five steals, 25 RBI and 24 runs scored in 52 games overall, though he's still seeing a near-everyday role at shortstop.

Williams went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Astros.

Williams contributed an RBI single in the second inning. He got aboard again in the ninth, stole second base and scored on a Jon Berti single for an insurance run. Williams hasn't gotten a ton of playing time since he was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on June 1, logging only 12 at-bats. He's posted a .292/.370/.375 slash line in 27 plate appearances between the Marlins and the Giants this season, though he often enters games late as a defensive replacement due to his ability to play all around the field.

Berti went 1-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Astros.

Berti had a groundout lead to a run in the second inning and an RBI single in the ninth. His stolen base was the infielder's 11th of the season, nine of which have come in his last 14 contests. The speedy 32-year-old has hit fairly well this year with a .269/.382/.398 slash line, two home runs, 10 RBI, 18 runs scored, four doubles and a triple through 110 plate appearances.
