Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Nationals' Dee Strange-Gordon: Starts up rehab assignment
Strange-Gordon (illness) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Strange-Gordon has been sidelined for the past two weeks with a non-COVID-19-related illness, so he'll likely appear in multiple games in the minors before coming off the 10-day injured list. Once reinstated from the IL, Strange-Gordon is expected to fill a utility role for Washington.

Diego Castillo 3B | MIN
Pirates' Diego Castillo: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Castillo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Castillo started the past two games in right field and will take a seat after going 1-for-8 with a run and a stolen base. Jack Suwinski, who was called up from Double-A Altoona on Tuesday, will make his MLB debut against Milwaukee in right field.

Tucupita Marcano 2B | SD
Pirates' Tucupita Marcano: Receives call to majors
The Pirates recalled Marcano from Double-A Altoona on Tuesday.
Marcano has experience at three infield and two outfield spots, so he'll give the Pirates another utility option off the bench after Cole Tucker (illness) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday. The 22-year-old Marcano made the Padres' Opening Day roster a season ago and logged 50 plate appearances at the big-league level, but Tuesday marks his first call-up to the majors since he was acquired by the Pirates in the deal last July that sent Adam Frazier to San Diego.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Phillies' Johan Camargo: Retreats to bench
Camargo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Didi Gregorius (hand) back in action for the second contest of the series with Colorado, Camargo's five-game run as the Phillies' starting shortstop comes to an end. Though Camargo went 5-for-19 with a home run and four RBI during that five-game stretch and now sports a .716 OPS across 50 plate appearances on the season, manager Joe Girardi said Monday that Gregorius will retain duties as the Phillies' everyday shortstop. Girardi noted that he still expects the versatile Camargo to see steady at-bats while bouncing between a number of different positions when one of the Phillies' everyday players receives a day off.

Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Not ready to start
Rojas (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
He'll take a seat for the third game in a row while he continues to recover from flu-like symptoms. Joey Wendle will move over from third base to cover Rojas' usual spot at shortstop.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Padres' CJ Abrams: Takes seat against lefty
Abrams is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
With southpaw Reiver Sanmartin on the bump for Cincinnati, the lefty-hitting Abrams will give way to righty-hitting platoon mate Ha-Seong Kim at shortstop. Though Abrams seems to have taken hold of the larger side of the timeshare at the position, his .143 average and lack of counting stats (one home run, one stolen base, five runs and two RBI over 40 plate appearances) have thus far capped his fantasy appeal. Abrams' long-term fantasy ceiling is high, though he may not come close to realizing it as a rookie.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Not starting Tuesday
Arcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Though he'll sit for the second time in three days, Arcia has started in five of Atlanta's last seven contests and should have a fairly clear path to a near-everyday role in the short term with Eddie Rosario (eye) on the 10-day injured list. However, Ronald Acuna (knee) could be ready to come off the IL as soon as Friday, and his return would leave Arcia to battle with Alex Dickerson, Guillermo Heredia and Travis Demeritte for playing time at the one available starting spot in the outfield or at designated hitter.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Makes first start at 3B
Perdomo started at third base and went 0-for-2 in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Dodgers.
Perdomo, who has been getting practice reps at third base, made his first start there as a professional, as the Diamondbacks look for ways to stabilize the revolving door at the hot corner. While Arizona waits on Josh Rojas (oblique), who was expected to open the season as the starter and is ramping up at the team's training facility, Perdomo moves into an unfamiliar spot. He handled all of his chances in the field, including the initiation of a double play that got starter Merrill Kelly out of a first-inning jam. If the Diamondbacks plan to keep the prospect on the MLB roster, it behooves them to give Perdomo a home where he can get consistent at-bats.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Beats Boston with first career slam
Bichette went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-2 win over the Red Sox.
With the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning and the bases loaded, Bichette drove a Matt Strahm sinker on the outer half of the plate to right field for his first career slam. The 24-year-old shortstop has had a sluggish start to 2022 that includes an uncharacteristic 28.0 percent strikeout rate, but Monday's homer -- his second of the season -- could be a sign Bichette is about to break out.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Drills second homer
Adames went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.
Adames came through in the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo blast that tied the game at 2-2, but the Brewers would cough up the lead in the ninth. Monday's long ball marks Adames' first home run since April 10 against the Cubs, and it could be a sign that he's ready to bust out of an early slump. The shortstop is slashing .194/.296/.323 through his first 17 games of 2022.
