X-rays on Rojas's dislocated left index finger Tuesday also revealed a small fracture, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

It's unclear how this latest update could impact Rojas's return timeline, but it certainly won't help the shortstop get back on the field sooner. The 32-year-old did begin range-of-motion activities Tuesday, which at the very least indicates that he is starting to make progress toward a return. Rojas is eligible to come off the 10-day inured list June 8, but he seems extremely likely to remain sidelined longer.

Adrianza is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Brian Snitker said late last week that Adrianza would serve as Atlanta's primary left fielder in the absence of Marcell Ozuna (fingers), but this will now mark the fourth time in the last five games that he starts the game on the bench. Abraham Almonte will get the nod in left field Tuesday, and he may be viewed as the primary replacement for Ozuna.

Anderson (allergies) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.

Anderson was forced to sit out Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader because of an allergy-induced headache. The star shortstop will get right back in the lineup Tuesday, batting in his normal leadoff position and playing shortstop.

Mondesi exited Monday's game against the Pirates after feeling a "little tweak" in his hamstring, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

The speedster went 2-for-3 with a two-run blast before leaving the contest. Mondesi's removal appears to have been precautionary, but it'll be unclear how serious the hamstring issue is until the Royals provide further updates. He has hit .360 with two homers, three doubles, one steal and 10 strikeouts in 25 at-bats since making his 2021 debut May 25.

Anderson was dealing with allergies as he sat out Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Much like teammate Andrew Vaughn, Anderson sat due to an allergy-induced headache. It's unclear whether the shortstop will return to action Tuesday, but he figures to be back in the lineup sooner rather than later.

Baez went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's 7-2 win over San Diego.

Baez got the Cubs on the board with his two-run blast in the third inning and later tacked on an insurance run with his solo shot in the seventh. It was his first multi-homer game of the season and he's up to 13 long balls through 48 games. The 28-year-old owns an .809 OPS with 36 RBI.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

His sixth-inning shot off Daniel Norris was his second homer as a Brewer and seventh of the season. Adames has caught fire since the trade from the Rays, hitting .324 (11-for-34) through 10 games for his new club with nine RBI.

The Cardinals plan to send DeJong (ribs) in for more follow-up imaging Thursday before determining the next step in his rehab program, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

Since landing on the 10-day injured list May 14 with a non-displaced rib fracture, DeJong has slowly eased back into baseball activities. He's recently been able to play catch and take light swings, but the Cardinals are hopeful he'll start ramping things up by the end of the week if his imaging shows that his rib is healing as anticipated. Edmundo Sosa has stepped in as the Cardinals' everyday shortstop since DeJong was shut down with the injury.

Anderson is out of the lineup for the second game of Monday's doubleheader with Cleveland.

Anderson has missed some time of late with a sore thumb and general soreness, so the White Sox may be holding him out primarily for maintenance purposes in the second half of the twin bill. Danny Mendick will fill in at shortstop for Anderson, who went 0-for-3 with a walk while being caught stealing twice in the White Sox's 8-6 win in Game 1.

Ahmed isn't starting Monday's game against the Mets.

Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Josh Rojas will shift to shortstop while Josh Reddick starts in right field.
