Mondesi was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder subluxation Wednesday.

Mondesi suffered the injury after diving for a foul ball in Tuesday's game against the White Sox. It's not yet clear when the Royals expect him to return. Humberto Arteaga was recalled from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.

Adames, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles in a loss to the Yankees on Tuesday, is 8-for-22 with four doubles, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs in the five games he's suited up since the All-Star break.

Adames' pair of two-baggers Tuesday pushed his July tally to four, exactly a quarter of his doubles total for the season. The current hot stretch is helping resurrect Adames' key offensive numbers after he opened the month going 2-for-27 with 13 strikeouts across seven pre-All-Star-break contests.

Crawford is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Bogaerts took Jacob Waguespack deep in the first inning for his 21st home run of the season. The effort also marked his fourth consecutive multi-hit game and extended his hitting streak to eight contests. Bogaerts is in the midst of a career-best season, hitting .312/.399/.575 across 411 plate appearances.

Mondesi will undergo an MRI on his left shoulder after leaving Tuesday's game versus the White Sox, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi sustained the injury when diving for a foul ball during the fifth inning, and the athletic trainer held Mondesi's left arm as he exited the field. Per Flanagan, teammate Hunter Dozier said Mondesi believed he suffered a dislocated left shoulder, but there won't be an official diagnosis until after the MRI.

Arcia is not starting Tuesday against Atlanta.

Arcia heads to the bench for the third time in six games. Tyler Saladino again takes over at shortstop.

Wendle isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Wendle will bow out of the starting nine with a lefty (CC Sabathia) set to toe the rubber for New York. Mike Brosseau draws the start at the keystone and will hit third with Wendle riding the pine.

Mateo, who's slashing .301/.336/.521 with 46 extra-base hits (20 doubles, 13 triples, 13 home runs) and 62 RBI across 408 plate appearances at Triple-A Las Vegas, is nevertheless likely to remain with the Aviators until rosters expand in September, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old shortstop has clearly earned a promotion based on his numbers, but Gallegos reports that barring injury, Mateo will likely remain blocked from a promotion until rosters expand in September. Shortstop continues to be firmly in the grasp of Marcus Semien (career-best .272/.348/.451 slash line) at the big-league level, and the A's seem intent on giving Franklin Barreto a fair shake at second base.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in a win over the Yankees on Monday.

Adames' multi-hit effort was his second over the first four games he's suited up for in the second half. The young shortstop's fantasy managers are looking for an offensive turnaround for Adames after he appeared to be trending upward as June concluded. The 23-year-old had boosted his average another 11 points to .253 during the month, but that number has been on a quick descent thus far in July. Even factoring in Monday's effort, Adames is just 7-for-45 in 11 games since the calendar flipped, already prompting a 14-point tumble in his average and a 21-point drop in his on-base percentage.
