Ahmed is out of the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers.

Ahmed had started each of the Diamondbacks' last six games, recording five hits and 23 at-bats over that span. Daniel Descalso will effectively replace him at second base while Ketel Marte shifts over to Ahmed's normal spot at shortstop.

Crawford (knee) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.

Crawford is being labeled day-to-day with a sore left knee, and since the Giants are effectively out of the running for a playoff spot, he likely won't be rushed back into action until he's 100 percent. Alen Hanson will step in at shortstop in the series finale and should see most of the reps at the position for the duration of Crawford's absence.

Adrianza will start at third base and bat second Sunday against the Rangers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Adrianza will remain in the lineup for the fifth time in six games, this time filling in for a resting Miguel Sano. Though his playing time has been on the upswing lately and he'll occupy a prominent spot in the order in the series finale, Adrianza should settle back into a utility role before long. It's worth noting that three of Adrianza's recent starts came at shortstop while Jorge Polanco was sidelined by a hamstring injury, but Adrianza's path to regular at-bats at that spot likely closed when Polanco returned to the lineup Friday.

Velazquez had his contract purchased by the Rays on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Velazquez has a .258/.317/.409 slash line with 124 strikeouts in 117 games with Triple-A Durham this season. The 24-year-old should fulfill a utility role while with the Rays, who have yet to announce a corresponding move.

Adames went 1-for-2 with two walks in a win over the Indians on Saturday and was also caught stealing for the fourth time this season.

The productive effort is simply an extension of Adames' best major-league month thus far, as he slashed an impressive .318/.384/.523 over 100 plate appearances in August. Adames will look to carry over some of the pop he flashed last month into September, as he racked up eight extra-base hits (three doubles, five home runs).

Mondesi is not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Orioles, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi went 0-for-4 in Saturday's win over Baltimore, ending a four-game streak of two-hit games. Alcides Escobar will start at shortstop and bat seventh in his absence.

Rojas is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will sit for the second time in the series as JT Riddle gets the nod at shortstop. Considering Rojas is slashing just .257/.272/.366 and doesn't project as much more than a utility man for the Marlins over the long haul, he may be in store for a limited at-bats in September as Miami tries to determine if Riddle can be a solution in the middle infield heading into 2019.

Correa went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Angels.

Correa delivered a two-out, game-tying single in the eighth inning, continuing a frame in which the Astros scored four more runs. He entered the game carrying the burden of a .460 OPS over 81 at-bats since his return from the disabled list but showed signs he's coming out of that funk. He saw 14 pitches Saturday and did not swing and miss on any of them. He put balls in play against three types of pitches: a two-seamer, four-seamer and slider. "It's been getting better," Correa told Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. "It's been that feeling - hitting is feeling and timing and when I'm able to find that slot where I feel comfortable. Today was a lot better day."

Story went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored Saturday against the Padres.

Story doubled in an RBI in the fourth inning and later came around to score in the same inning. He then came around to score his second run of the game in the sixth inning, adding an insurance tally for the Rockies. While he hasn't homered since August 19, Story continues to produce in other ways, racking up five steals and seven runs scored across 45 at-bats. If he remains aggressive on the basepaths, he has an outside chance at recording a 30-30 season while also providing a solid batting average and strong counting stats.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Brewers.

Turner stole a bag and recorded multiple knocks for the second straight day. The 25-year-old hasn't exactly met fleeting preseason first-round expectations but is still doing the power-speed job many expected. He's swiped 35 bases, homered 16 times, scored 82 runs and put together a .271/.338/.412 slash.
