Turner went 1-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's win over the Mets.

The off-field furor over his old tweets hasn't impacted Turner's play at all, as the shortstop has gone 12-for-30 (.400) over his last six games with two doubles, a triple, a homer, three RBI, six steals and 10 runs. He now leads the majors with 28 stolen bases, and he'll need to continue surging if the Nats are going to have any chance of making a late push for a playoff spot.

Wendle is out of the lineup Thursday against the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The lefty-hitting Wendle will take a seat with southpaw Andrew Heaney on the bump for the Angels in the series finale. While it's expected that Wendle will be a fixture on the bench throughout the second half when the Rays face left-handed pitching, his playing time should remain stable against righties. Wendle has been one of the Rays' top hitters over the past month, with the 28-year-old supplying a .352/.426/.545 batting line over his past 26 appearances.

Anderson, who was pulled from Tuesday's game for lack of hustle, started Wednesday and went 2-for-4 and was caught stealing in a 10-5 loss to the Royals.

Anderson was yanked from the game because he never left the batter's box on a sinking liner that was ruled as no catch and was thrown out at first base without taking a step toward the bag. It was the fourth time since spring training that manager Rick Renteria has pulled a player from a game for lack of hustle.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Angels.

The front office essentially confirmed that Adames would be the starting shortstop going forward by designating Adeiny Hechavarria for assignment earlier in the day, and the rookie responded with his fourth homer of the season and his first multi-hit performance since June 28. Adames' .210/.264/.328 slash line through his first 35 big-league games isn't much, but it could rise quickly once he settles into his new assignment.

Bogaerts is feeling soreness in his right wrist after being struck by a pitch during Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

The issue doesn't appear to be anything overly serious, although it's unlikely that Bogaerts will return to action Thursday. The Red Sox figure to proceed with caution.

Vincej will be optioned to Triple-A Tacoma prior to Thursday's matchup against Toronto, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

With Kyle Seager (personal) slated to return from the disabled list Thursday, Vincej is expected to head to the minor leagues. He failed to make his 2018 major-league debut after his contract was purchased Monday.

Arcia is out of Wednesday's starting nine against the Dodgers.

Arcia is slated for a day off after making six straight starts since returning from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Hernan Perez will take over at shortstop and bat seventh in his stead.

Rojas is out of the lineup against the Braves on Wednesday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will retreat to the bench following four straight starts, going 5-for-16 (.313 average) with one RBI during that stretch. In his absence, JT Riddle will start at shortstop and bat seventh.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's extra-inning victory over the Padres.

Crawford's 10th-inning RBI single off Phil Maton proved to be the deciding run in a narrow victory. The All-Star shortstop struggled to the tune of a .200/.283/.242 slash line in July, but he finished the month on a positive note with three multi-hit games over the final six contests.

The Phillies transferred Crawford's (hand) rehab assignment to High-A Clearwater on Wednesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Crawford made his first rehab appearance Monday with the Phillies' rookie-level Gulf Coast League affiliate and walked in four of his five plate appearances. The 23-year-old is expected to start at shortstop Wednesday for Clearwater, but it's not expected he'll play the full nine innings as he works back from a fractured left hand. Crawford, who has been sidelined since June 19 with the injury, will likely require at least one more rehab game beyond Wednesday's before the Phillies are comfortable activating him from the 10-day disabled list.
