Anderson went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Brewers.

Anderson lashed a two-run triple in the sixth inning to break a tie game. It was the fourth straight game with a hit for Anderson, who has batted .344 (11-for-32) with seven extra-base hits (four home runs), 11 RBI and nine runs scored over the last nine games since his season average bottomed out at .230. There was a report earlier in the week about a thumb injury, but that's had more effect on him as a fielder than as a hitter.

Turner went 1-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Braves.

The Nats only managed two hits all night off Mike Foltynewicz, but Turner still managed to extend his hitting streak to 13 games. The shortstop hasn't exactly been on fire over that stretch, however, collecting multiple hits only three times and posting a .281/.305/.404 slash line with one homer, seven RBI, six runs and three steals.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday's 7-3 win over Boston.

Correa has gone yard in each of the first two games of the series, giving him 10 for the season, the fourth consecutive year he's reached double-digit home runs. The slugging shortstop endured a May in which he hit a lowly .192, but his power didn't slump. He hit five homers and knocked in a team-high 17 runs in May and leads the Astros with 39 RBI in 56 games. Even during stretches in which his bat slumps, Correa's spot as cleanup hitter in stacked lineup presents plenty of RBI opportunities.

Swanson went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 4-0 win over the Nationals.

His seventh-inning blast off Stephen Strasburg capped a four-run frame for the Braves that accounted for all the offense on the night. Swanson now has four homers on the season, two of which have come in the last eight games, but his .196 batting average (9-for-46) and 6:18 BB:K in 14 games since coming off the disabled list leave a lot to be desired.

Ahmed is out of Friday's lineup against the Marlins.

He is hitting just .138 with two home runs over his last 29 at-bats. Ketel Marte will start at shortstop and hit sixth.

Diaz (ankle) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Friday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

He has been out since early May with the ankle injury, and hit just .216/.273/.431 with six home runs in 102 at-bats before landing on the DL. Gio Urshela will remain with the big club even after this activation. Diaz should enter into a crowded infield rotation, getting starts at shortstop while also getting spelled at time by Yangervis Solarte or Urshela.

Herrera was designated for assignment by the Reds on Friday.

Herrera went 2-for-11 with five strikeouts in a brief stint with the Reds before returning to Triple-A on May 22. The addition of catcher Curt Casali -- acquired Thursday from Tampa Bay -- prompted the move. Herrera should remain at Triple-A Louisville, assuming he clears waivers.

Gordon went 1-for-5 with a triple and a run in a win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Activated from the disabled list earlier in the day, Gordon made a triumphant return by lacing a leadoff triple in the home half of the first. The speedster subsequently crossed the plate on Jean Segura's sacrifice fly, and the fact he legged out his second three-bagger of the season essentially corroborated the fitness of his previously injured toe. Gordon heads into June with a modest three-game hitting streak, and he appears ready to resume his role as a dynamic table-setter at the top of the order.

Wendle went 3-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Athletics on Thursday.

Wendle closed out May with a seven-game hitting streak, although Thursday's effort represented his first multi-hit tally during that stretch. The 28-year-old has proven to be an effective left-handed bat for manager Kevin Cash during what is his most extended taste of major-league action, as he's now slashing a solid .295/.344/.416 across 163 plate appearances.

Correa went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Red Sox.

Correa got the Astros on the board in the first inning by hitting his ninth home run of the season. It was his first home run since May 19, and he has struggled at the plate of late going just 8-for-42 across his past 10 games. This home run could get him on track in what has been a relatively quiet season for him to this point.
