Wendle went 2-for-3 with a double and a run Saturday in the Rays' 10-3 loss to the Red Sox.

The versatile infielder has multi-hit efforts in two of his last three starts, performances that each include a double. Wendle is expected to see a relatively solid allotment of playing time as the left-handed side of a second base platoon with Daniel Robertson, with his ability to also turn in strong glove work another factor in his favor.

Ahmed (illness) is starting at shortstop and batting seventh in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Ahmed missed three games while battling an illness last week but was able to make an appearance during Saturday's contest and will now rejoin the starting nine. The shortstop was hitting an impressive .471 (8-for-17) before falling ill.

Baez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Baez will catch a breather in the series finale against Chase Anderson and the Brewers. Baez started the first three games of the series, going 2-for-8 with three walks, three RBI and four runs scored. Ben Zobrist will start at second base and bat third in his absence.

Seager went 2-for-4 with two walks and a run scored Saturday against the Giants.

This kind of line normally isn't notable for Seager, but he has struggled early in the regular season after battling an elbow injury throughout spring training. This is only the second time in seven starts that he's managed to reach base multiple times in a game, and he still doesn't have any extra-base hits.

Story went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Braves.

Story extended the Rockies' lead in the fourth inning, sending a 2-1 offering from Anibal Sanchez into the left-field bleachers. This is the second straight game in which the young shortstop has homered, though he added another strikeout to his ledger and is still hitting just .176 on the young season.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a double and stolen base Saturday against the Royals.

Lindor stole his third base of the season Saturday and has been successful in three of his four stolen-base attempts this season. It took until May 30 for him to steal his third base last year, so it appears he has made being more aggressive on the basepaths a priority to start the season. That would be a boost to his fantasy value and provide him a nice floor if his power production were to fall off from last season's pace.

Camargo (oblique) isn't expected to be activated from the disabled list for another week, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Per McAlpin, Camargo's health isn't the issue for the holdup. His defense has been fine as well, but the Braves want to see him shake off a bit more rust at the plate. With Ryan Flaherty playing well in his stead, the Braves are content with letting the young infielder work out his issues in the minors while he still has games left on his rehab assignment. Camargo is expected to return around Friday in time for the series with the Cubs, but he could return sooner if his bat comes around.

Diaz (back) will start at shortstop and bat seventh for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Diaz was expected to return to the lineup Friday, but manager John Gibbons opted to give him an additional day of rest following Tuesday's back spasms. Yangervis Solarte will shift to third base and move Josh Donaldson back to DH for Saturday's game.

Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with a two runs, six RBI -- four coming on a grands slam -- and a walk in Saturday's 10-3 win over the Rays.

The 25-year-old shortstop is on a tear to start the season, slashing .371/.405/.743 over his first eight games. The homer was his second of the season -- last year, his second home run didn't come until May 30. Bogaerts was already a worthy fantasy shortstop, with double-digit home runs and steals the last two seasons. He typically provides a solid batting average and has a quality lineup to boost his counting stats. If he's adding power this year, he could make the jump into the position's top tier.

Crawford is not in the lineup Saturday against the Marlins.

It's Crawford's second day off in the team's opening seven games, putting him on pace for about 116 starts this season. The Phillies will likely continue to heavily rotate at most positions on the field, leaving Crawford slightly short of a full-time role. A hot bat could give the young shortstop a larger share of playing time, but he has just one hit through his first 21 plate appearances. Scott Kingery will start at shortstop in Crawford's place.
