Turner went 3-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Braves.
He led off the game with his sixth homer of the season, setting the tone on a night when the two teams combined to put eight balls in the seats. Turner is now slashing .338/.372/.500 over his last 16 games with two homers, six RBI, 13 runs and 10 steals.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Optioned to Triple-A Memphis
DeJong was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
DeJong started 11 consecutive games for the Cardinals while Kolten Wong was on the disabled list with an elbow injury, but he hadn't appeared in the three games since the latter's return. The 23-year-old third baseman memorably homered in his first major-league at-bat, but he went through some growing pains thereafter, slashing .244/.244/.390 over 41 plate appearances. However, he acquitted himself well defensively at second base and will continue gaining some seasoning with the Redbirds, for whom he's slashed .294/.331/.541 with 11 homers and 31 RBI across 46 games.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Drives in four in comeback win
Seager went 2-for-4 with a double and a grand slam in Sunday's comeback win over the Reds.
Seager played the role of hero for the second consecutive night, as his eighth-inning grand slam put the Dodgers ahead for good. The star shortstop had cooled off a bit in the month of May, but he appears to be getting back on track, collecting five extra-base hits and seven RBI in this three-game set against the Reds.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Hits bench Sunday
Cordoba is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals.
Cordoba had taken over as the Padres' leadoff hitter following Manuel Margot's (calf) placement on the disabled list, but after struggling to ignite the offense in that capacity, he's since plummeted in the batting order. In addition to occupying a less prominent lineup spot, Cordoba could soon see his at-bats take a hit, as recent call-ups Franchy Cordero and Jose Pirela have emerged as viable starting options alongside Hunter Renfroe in the team's outfield. Cordoba is still versatile enough to play middle infield when the outfield is occupied, but his fantasy value is nonetheless trending in the wrong direction.
-
Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Receives off day
Crawford is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With the Giants facing a left-handed starter (Nik Turley) on Sunday and a scheduled off day looming Monday, Crawford will get an extended rest by sitting out the series finale. The time off could probably do Crawford some good, as he's gone 6-for-35 (.171 average) at the plate while starting the past 10 games. Kelby Tomlinson will swap in for Crawford at shortstop.
-
Chris Owings SS | LAD
Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Receives breather Sunday
Owings is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
After starting the team's previous six contests, Owings will take the day off Sunday as the Diamondbacks close out their three-game series against the Brewers. Nick Ahmed will man the shortstop position in his stead.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Nationals' Trea Turner: Gets day off Sunday
Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
After starting the team's past 29 contests, Turner will receive a breather Sunday as the Nationals face off against Austin Bibens-Dirkx and the Rangers. Stephen Drew will take over at shortstop in his absence. Expect to see Turner back in the lineup Monday against the Braves.
-
Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Gets breather Sunday
Correa is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels.
After closing out May in grand fashion, Correa has labored through the Astros' first nine games of June, recording just seven hits in 37 at-bats (.189 average). Manager A.J. Hinch is hopeful that a day out of the lineup will provide a needed reset for Correa, who should return to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Rangers. Marwin Gonzalez will spell Correa at shortstop Sunday.
-
Ruben Tejada SS | BAL
Orioles' Ruben Tejada: Draws third straight start
Tejada will start at third base and bat ninth Sunday against the Yankees, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
It will be the third straight start for Tejada, who has been filling in at the hot corner while Manny Machado (wrist) tends to an injury. Orioles manager Buck Showalter has said that he doesn't expect Machado to require a trip to the disabled list, so Tejada's hold on an everyday role may not last beyond Sunday.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Marlins' Dee Gordon: Heads to bench Sunday
Gordon is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
After starting each of the team's past 13 games, Gordon will head to the bench Sunday for a scheduled day of rest. Christian Colon will draw the start at second base in his stead.
