Rojas will start at shortstop and hit eighth for the Marlins on Wednesday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will be making a spot start in place of regular shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria. Over his past 10 games, Rojas is hitting .308 with just two strikeouts in 13 at-bats.

To make room for Matt Cain, Tejada has been designated for assignment by the Giants on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old has struggled this season, hitting .167/.247/.242 in 66 at-bats with both the Cardinals and the Giants. Tejada has now been designated for assignment for the second time this season and will wait to see if he is claimed by another team. If not, he can accept an assignment to Triple-A Sacramento.

Anderson is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.

Anderson, who recently shed his prospect status, has predictably hit a bit of a slide as the book is starting to get out on him. He hit .314 in June and .237 so far in July, and has just two walks in 33 games. Anderson is an excellent long-term asset in dynasty leagues, as he has five-category upside at shortstop, but it would not be surprising if he continues to struggle to get on base at a high clip over the rest of the season. Big league pitchers have made their adjustments, and now the onus is on Anderson to make his own adjustments. Tyler Saladino is starting at shortstop and hitting ninth Wednesday.

Turner got the start at second base and hit leadoff in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers, going 1-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI.

With both Anthony Rendon and Stephen Drew sidelined due to a flu bug, Turner is finally getting a chance at regular at-bats and has collected four hits in his last three games. He'll likely return to the bench once the roster gets healthier in a couple of days, however.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI in a victory Tuesday over Kansas City.

Lindor now has hits in 10 of his past 11 games and now has seven extra-base hits in that span including two home runs. When he hit 12 home runs in 99 games last year, it was a surprising display of power from a prospect many expected would need time to grow into a home run stroke. Now that he's equaled his total from last year in seven fewer games, we know it wasn't a fluke.

Seager (flu) is not in the Dodgers starting lineup on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

Seager, who hit three doubles in Monday's game, is not with the team on Tuesday as the Dodgers take on Reynaldo Lopez and the Nationals. Seager has picked up right where he left off in the first half, collecting six hits in the three games since the All-Star break. Consider him day-to-day as he recovers from a stomach virus. Chris Taylor will start at shortstop in his absence.

Correa went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored during Monday's 7-4 loss at Oakland.

Correa has been productive as the Astros cleanup hitter, going 30-for-107 (.280) with six homers, 26 RBI and a .932 OPS over the last 30 days. While Tuesday's matchup against southpaw Dillon Overton appears favorable, Correa's production against left-handers (.632 OPS) has dipped considerably this season.

Anderson hit his fifth home run in a 1-for-4 game in Monday's loss to the Mariners.

Anderson's plate discipline continues to leave something to be desired, as a strikeout Monday brings his BB:K to an ugly 2:44. Still, it's hard to argue with his power -- he now has 15 home runs in just 32 games and an excellent .464 slugging percentage, better than all but eight qualified shortstops thus far in 2016.

Story homered in a 2-for-3 game with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's win over Tampa Bay.

Story remains atop the MLB shortstop leaderboard with 22 homers and is the only National League shortstop with 20 home runs yet this season. He now owns a .286 ISO, and if Story can sustain that mark, it will be the best ISO a shortstop has posted since Alex Rodriguez's .301 mark with the Rangers in 2003. His power is otherworldly for the position, making him one of the best hitting shortstops in the game no matter how many times he strikes out.

Pennington (hamstring) has been shifted to the 60-day disabled list, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Pennington will begin a rehab assignment on Wednesday. However, as a result of this move, he now won't be eligible to make his return until July 31. At least he'll have ample time in the minors to get his swing right and make sure his hamstring is fully healed.
