Kameron Misner CF | KC
Royals' Kameron Misner: Sitting against southpaw
Misner is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Though he'll head to the bench for the series opener in Washington while the left-handed Andrew Alvarez toes the rubber for the Nationals, Misner should be in line for an extended look as a strong-side platoon player while Kyle Isbel (foot) and Vinnie Pasquantino (hand) are on the shelf. Misner started in each of the last four games while the Royals faced right-handed pitchers, going 6-for-12 with a walk, a stolen base and three RBI over those contests.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Heading to bench against lefty
Massey is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
The Royals will send the left-handed-hitting Massey to the bench while southpaw Andrew Alvarez takes the hill for Washington. Nick Loftin will step in at second base in place of Massey, who went 4-for-15 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs while starting the past four games.

Mitch Spence RP | KC
Royals' Mitch Spence: Recalled before Monday's start
The Royals recalled Spence from Triple-A Omaha on Monday.
Spence will get the start Monday on the road against the Nationals. The right-hander permitted six runs over four innings in his lone appearance in the majors this season and has turned in a 6.54 ERA in 10 starts at Triple-A Omaha. Spence could earn additional turns in the rotation if things go well Monday.

Connor Seabold RP | KC
Royals' Connor Seabold: Traded to Kansas City
The Royals acquired Seabold from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for Denis Samudio and cash considerations.
Seabold has made 16 relief appearances between the Tigers and Blue Jays this season, collecting a 4.26 ERA and 15:7 K:BB over 19 innings. The 30-year-old is capable of providing length for a Royals bullpen that could use it.

Carlos Estevez RP | KC
Royals' Carlos Estevez: Sent to 60-day IL
The Royals transferred Estevez (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Estevez has already been on the shelf for more than two months, so his move to the 60-day IL is merely procedural and won't affect his timeline for a return. The right-hander was initially deactivated April 1 due to a foot contusion, but he's since recovered from that injury and is now working his way back from a right rotator cuff strain, which he sustained during a minor-league rehab appearance in early May. Estevez resumed throwing off flat ground May 27 and could be cleared to start throwing off a mound this week.

Sam Bachman RP | LAA
Angels' Sam Bachman: Hit hard in loss Sunday
Bachman (1-1) took the loss against the Rays on Sunday, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one batter over one inning.
When Bachman entered in the eighth inning, the game was tied 3-3. By the time the right-hander departed, Tampa Bay had taken an 8-3 lead, with four of the five runs against him coming via a pair of two-run homers. Bachman had been pitching great coming into Sunday, tossing 12 straight scoreless appearances and holding a 1.99 ERA over 31.2 overall innings on the campaign. That ERA is up to 3.31 now, but Bachman still figures to be a key high-leverage option for the Angels given his overall body of work this season.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Mariners' Patrick Wisdom: Returns to Triple-A
The Mariners optioned Wisdom to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
After making five straight starts at third base, Wisdom was absent from the lineup for each of the past four games. A corresponding roster move -- which is expected to be J.P. Crawford (hand) being activated from the injured list -- will be announced prior to Tuesday's contest versus the Orioles.

Davis Schneider LF | TOR
Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Goes yard Sunday
Schneider went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.
Getting the start at second base and batting eighth after Andres Gimenez (wrist) was a late scratch, Schneider took advantage of the opportunity by taking Jake Bird deep in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3-3, before the Blue Jays bullpen melted down in the ninth. The hits were his first in two games since rejoining the big-league roster, while the homer was just his second of the season in 40 MLB contests. If Gimenez ends up missing more time, Schneider could be in line for more than a short-side platoon role, as Ernie Clement would slide over from second base to cover shortstop.

Nathan Lukes RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Three hits in Sunday's loss
Lukes went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.
Batting second and getting the start in center field before shifting to right when Myles Straw entered the game in the seventh inning, Lukes put together another strong performance. The 31-year-old has hit safely in 16 of 18 games since coming off the IL in late May, slashing .358/.419/.448 in 75 plate appearances over that stretch with three doubles, a homer, five RBI and nine runs.

Camilo Doval RP | NYY
Yankees' Camilo Doval: Fans two, nabs win in relief
Doval (3-0) earned the win over Toronto on Sunday, striking out two batters in a scoreless inning of relief.
Doval entered the game in the bottom of the eighth frame with the score tied 3-3. He kept things that way by retiring the side in order on 15 pitches, with two of his outs coming via punchout. Doval then moved into position for the victory when New York put up five runs in the top of the ninth. The veteran righty has been a high-leverage part of the Yankees' bullpen this season, though he hasn't been a particularly appealing fantasy asset with just one save and three holds. Doval does have three victories, however, and he has a fine 1.16 WHIP and 25:5 K:BB over 26.2 innings despite a poor 5.06 ERA.
