Peters will start in center field and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Angels.

Peters has now started in six straight matchups versus right-handed pitchers and appears to have settled into the strong side of a platoon in center field with Luisangel Acuna. Over the past week, Peters went 7-for-17 with a triple, a stolen base, an RBI and a run.

Varsho is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

The left-handed-hitting Varsho doesn't always sit against left-handed pitching, but he'll hit the bench for the series opener while the Red Sox send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the bump. Myles Straw will fill in for Varsho in center field and will bat leadoff.

Gimenez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

The Blue Jays opted to rest Gimenez for Sunday's game against the Guardians and right-hander Slade Cecconi, but the infielder's absence from the lineup Monday appears to be more matchup-related with southpaw Ranger Suarez taking the hill for Boston. The left-handed-hitting Gimenez owns a modest 89 wRC+ for his career versus same-handed pitching and is slashing .182/.250/.182 in 25 plate appearances against them this season.

Naylor (quadriceps) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Twins.

Naylor didn't play in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals while he managed a tight quad, but the one day off appears to be all the slugging first baseman needed to overcome the issue. Before taking a seat Sunday, Naylor had been on fire at the dish, having gone 12-for-25 (.480 average) with one home run, two doubles, four stolen bases, four RBI and three runs over his previous seven starts.

Palacios is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Palacios will hit the bench for the fourth time in five games, with two absences coming against right-handed starters and the other two coming against lefties. He had previously been occupying the strong side of a platoon at second base with Ben Williamson, but the left-handed-hitting Palacios may be in line for only a part-time role against righties while Williamson has been productive at the dish of late. Both Williamson and Palacios are likely to see their playing time at the keystone take a hit once Gavin Lux (shoulder/ankle) is deemed ready to return from the 15-day injured list.

The White Sox placed Murray on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left shoulder dislocation and fracture.

Murray suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Nationals when he landed awkwardly after making a diving catch in left field. There is a fracture in the dislocated shoulder that requires surgery, which White Sox manager Will Venable relayed will take about 4-to-6 months to recover from, per James Fegan of SoxMachine.com. That timeline means the earliest Murray would return is late August.

The White Sox activated Hays (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Hays wound up missing three weeks of action with a right hamstring strain. The veteran outfielder was serving as the team's primary left fielder before getting hurt, but with Sam Antonacci getting an opportunity at that position, Hays could shift over to right field, which would eat into the playing time of Everson Pereira. The White Sox will keep the hot-hotting Pereira in the lineup over Hays for Monday's series opener versus the Angels, who will send right-hander Jack Kochanowicz to the bump.

Williamson will start at second base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Guardians, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

After going 5-for-15 with a pair of extra-base hits and a walk over the previous four contests, Williamson will stick in the starting nine for a fifth straight game. The Rays have faced three right-handed starters and two lefties during that stretch, so Williamson could be moving into more of a full-time role after having more recently been deployed in the short side of a platoon at second base with the left-handed-hitting Richie Palacios. Both Williamson and Palacios will likely see their opportunities at the keystone diminish once Gavin Lux (shoulder/ankle) is activated from the 10-day injured list.

Springer (toe) ran the bases at Rogers Centre on Monday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

It's likely to be the final step before Springer returns to game action. The bigger question is whether those initial games will come as part of a rehab assignment, or whether the Blue Jays will have Springer skip a rehab stint and immediately stick him back onto the active roster. Springer has been shelved for the last two-plus weeks with a fractured left big toe.

Lewis is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

It's a routine day off for Lewis, who is just 3-for-20 with one home run and a 0:8 BB:K since returning from the injured list. Tristan Gray will start at third base and bat ninth in Monday's series opener.
