The Astros activated Meyers (calf) from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Meyers has been sidelined since July 9, but he's in the lineup Saturday against the Rangers, starting in center field and batting ninth. On the season, Meyers is slashing .308/.369/.405 with three home runs, 21 RBI, 47 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and a 27:58 BB:K across 322 plate appearances.

Arrighetti (elbow) said Saturday that he will miss the remainder of the regular season, but his UCL is intact, and he won't require surgery, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Arrighetti is dealing with right elbow inflammation, and he hopes to resume throwing once the swelling subsides. The diagnosis comes as good news for the right-hander, who landed on the 15-day injured listed earlier this week. Both Arrighetti and the Astros remain hopeful he can return to the mound at some point in the postseason should Houston make the playoffs.

Santos (knee) is slated to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Santos hasn't pitched with Seattle since April 15 but is aiming for a return to the Mariners at some point this month. The right-hander struggled to a 5.14 ERA and 2.29 WHIP across eight early-season appearances before getting hurt.

Kremer underwent an MRI on his right forearm Saturday and will meet with team doctors to determine if he'll need to be placed on the 15-day injured list, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Kremer was removed from Friday's start against the Dodgers after tossing three no-hit innings. If Kremer needs to head to the injured list, interim manager Tony Mansolino said Chayce McDermott will be activated from the taxi squad.

Witt (back) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Minnesota, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Witt exited Friday's game with lower-back spasms and needs at least another day of rest. He underwent an MRI on Saturday, and the team is still awaiting the results, Rogers added. With Witt on the bench, Maikel Garcia slides over to shortstop and bats second with Nick Loftin entering the lineup at third base, batting seventh.

The Rays recalled Rock from Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Rock has appeared in two games out of Tampa Bay's bullpen this season, posting a 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 9:0 K:BB across five innings of work. The 25-year-old right-hander takes Brian Van Belle's (elbow) spot in the bullpen.

The Rays placed Van Belle on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right elbow inflammation, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Van Belle allowed two runs on four hits across two innings of relief in Friday's loss to the Guardians. He threw 37 pitches and faced 10 batters. The 29-year-old right-hander has appeared in four games out of the bullpen for the Rays this season, logging a 5.40 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 6:0 K:BB across 8.1 innings.

The Tigers optioned Malloy to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Malloy was recalled from Triple-A earlier this week but will head back to Toledo after Chris Paddack was reinstated from the bereavement list Saturday. Malloy has appeared in 49 games for the Tigers this season, slashing .214/.347/.296 with one home run, 17 RBI, 14 runs scored and a 20:31 BB:K across 121 plate appearances. Both Jahmai Jones and Andy Ibanez have surpassed Malloy on the depth chart as options against left-handed pitching.

Cobb will undergo hip resurfacing surgery and miss the remainder of the season, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Cobb had yet to pitch in the majors this season but was trying to work his way back, as he made 10 rehab appearances (seven starts) and recorded a 1.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 24:15 K:BB across 20.2 innings in the minors. Cobb was pulled off his rehab assignment last week but resumed it earlier this week. However, he still doesn't feel right and will go under the knife. The soon-to-be 38-year-old (in October) admitted this could be the end for him in his playing career.

Jeffers (head) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Royals.

Jeffers was removed from the game Thursday after taking a foul ball off his mask. With Jeffers needing at least another day to recover, Mickey Gasper is behind the dish at catcher and batting seventh.
