Gimenez (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Toronto will keep Gimenez on the bench for a third straight game while he manages a tight right hamstring, but the club has no plans to send him in for an MRI and is optimistic that he'll avoid a stint on the injured list, per MLB.com. Ernie Clement will slide over to shortstop as Charles McAdoo covers second base while Gimenez gets another day off.

O'Neill is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

O'Neill's playing time had been on the upswing after he slashed .293/.396/.512 with three home runs, six RBI and six runs through his first 13 games in August, but after going hitless with a 1:3 BB:K over his last four contests, he may be drifting back into a short-side platoon role. He'll take a seat for the third time in five games -- with all three absences coming against righties -- while the Orioles go with Coby Mayo as their designated hitter.

The Royals scratched Caglianone from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers due to ankle soreness.

Caglianone's right ankle is presumably still bothering him after he was forced out of Wednesday's win over the Athletics and then ended up sitting out Thursday as well. Caglianone did suit up for the first two games of the Detroit series and went 1-for-8 with a double and a run scored. John Rave will get the nod in right field Sunday in place of Caglianone, who will be treated as day-to-day heading into a three-game series in Toronto that begins Tuesday.

The Yankees recalled Beck from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Beck has two single-day stints in the majors this season and will now get a third look with the big club. In his first two MLB appearances, the right-hander surrendered seven earned runs with a 5:4 K:BB over 6.2 innings.

The Rays reinstated Rodriguez (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Tampa Bay cleared room on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Rodriguez by designating right-hander Chris Roycroft for assignment. Rodriguez served as a high-leverage relief arm for the Rays to begin the 2025 campaign and compiled a 2.08 ERA and 1.05 WHIP while collecting 11 holds over 30.1 innings, but his season came to an early end when he required right flexor tendon repair surgery on Aug. 8. Now just over a year removed from the procedure, Rodriguez has been cleared to rejoin the Tampa Bay bullpen after he completed a month-long rehab assignment during which he submitted a 5.63 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB in eight innings over stops with three different minor-league affiliates. He'll likely be deployed in the middle innings initially, but Rodriguez could quickly work his way up the bullpen pecking order if he looks sharp in his first few appearances with Tampa Bay.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Dingler will be rested for the afternoon contest after he started behind the plate the last three games while going 1-for-12. Eduardo Valencia will handle catching duties.

DeLuca will start in right field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Orioles.

He'll stick in the lineup for a fourth straight game after going 3-for-11 with a double in the prior three contests. With three of DeLuca's four starts coming against right-handed pitching, he looks to have emerged as the Rays' preferred option in right field after Victor Mesa (hamstring) was placed on the injured list Wednesday.

Vilade is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Vilade will take a seat for the third time in four games, with all three of his absences coming against right-handed pitching. The utility player looked as though he might have a chance at breaking out of his short-side platoon role after Victor Mesa (hamstring) was moved to the injured list Wednesday, but Jonny DeLuca has instead been prioritized ahead of Vilade as the Rays' primary right fielder versus righties.

The Yankees reinstated Bellinger (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start in left field and bat cleanup in the series finale versus the Blue Jays.

Bellinger will make his first appearance since July 25 after recovering from a left hamstring strain. He received the green light to rejoin the big club after making two rehab appearances with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and he should be ready to handle a near-everyday role. With Bellinger back in the fold, Heliot Ramos looks to be the odd man out of the starting outfield against right-handed starting pitchers.

The Yankees placed Weathers on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left forearm flexor strain.

While the Yankees haven't laid out a recovery timeline or treatment plan for Weathers, the southpaw said that initial tests showed that his UCL is intact, and he's optimistic that he'll be able to pitch again this season, per Brendan Kuty of The Athletic. Weathers dealt with a similar injury last season with the Marlins and missed around a month, so it's reasonable to expect him to miss more than the minimum 15 days this time around. His move to IL should extend Will Warren's time in the rotation, which had previously been expected to come to an end once Max Fried (elbow) returned from the IL.
