Cantillo didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Cubs, giving up two hits and three walks in 3.1 scoreless innings. He struck out five.

The 25-year-old left-hander was summoned from the minor leagues Thursday and plugged into the rotation, and he was able to keep a tough Chicago lineup in check despite not being fully stretched out. Cantillo was lifted after throwing a season-high 68 pitches in his first big-league start of the season, and he owns a serviceable 3.41 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 41:17 K:BB over 31.2 frames for the Guardians. With Luis L. Ortiz placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as part of an MLB gambling investigation, Cantillo's next start lines up for a stiff challenge against the Astros in Houston.

Soriano (6-5) registered the win Thursday against Atlanta, giving up no runs on three hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out seven.

After surrendering a season-high eight runs his last time out, Soriano got right back on track Thursday. The 26-year-old right-hander continues to be adept at keeping the ball in the yard and on the ground, as he's surrendered just one long ball over his last 13 starts and leads all qualifying starting pitchers in groundball rate (66.9 percent) in 2025. Soriano owns a solid 3.72 ERA across 104 frames, but his 1.42 WHIP and 91:47 K:BB make him a relatively volatile fantasy option for his next scheduled appearance at home versus the division-rival Rangers.

Canzone went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Royals.

Canzone brought the Mariners within a run in the ninth inning, though the comeback effort fell short. The outfielder is up to six homers this season, five of which have come over his last 12 games, a span in which he has gone 11-for-40 (.275). He's at a .257/.288/.543 slash line with nine RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base across 73 plate appearances. Canzone has been handling a strong-side platoon role in right field since his June 9 call-up from Triple-A Tacoma.

Polanco went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two doubles in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Royals.

Polanco opened the scoring with a fourth-inning solo shot. He had gone just 3-for-24 (.125) over his previous seven games, which included a three-game stint out of the lineup due to knee soreness. His homer Thursday was his first since June 13 versus the Guardians. Polanco is now at 12 homers, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored, 11 doubles and three stolen bases while slashing .253/.308/.451 on the year.

Evans allowed three hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Thursday.

Evans threw 56 of 95 pitches for strikes, which isn't a dominant showing, but he was effective at limiting baserunners. This was a positive return to the majors after he had allowed nine runs over 19 innings across his previous three starts over two stints with the big club. He's pitched to a 2.96 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB across 45.2 innings over eight starts this season. Evans will likely be in the majors at least through the All-Star break while Bryce Miller (elbow) remains out and Emerson Hancock is in the minors following his recent slump. Evans will be tested in his next start, which is projected to come on the road versus the Yankees.

Estevez allowed one run on three hits and struck out two without walking a batter over 1.1 innings, earning the save in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Estevez got the last out of the eighth inning, but he found some trouble after Dominic Canzone led off the ninth with a solo shot to cut the Royals' lead to one. Estevez allowed two more singles, and a wild pitch put both runners in scoring position, but he struck out Julio Rodriguez and got Cal Raleigh to ground out, ending the threat. Despite allowing the homer, it doesn't get much more clutch than what Estevez pulled off. He's converted seven straight saves since his blown save in the first game of a June 5 doubleheader versus the Cardinals, though he has allowed three solo home runs over 10.1 innings since then. Overall, Estevez is at a 2.19 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB while converting 24 of 27 save chances this year.

Lugo (6-5) allowed a run on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over 6.1 innings to earn the win Thursday over the Mariners.

Lugo continued his run of dominance -- he has allowed one run or fewer in five straight starts. He's given up just three runs with a 33:11 K:BB across 30 innings in that span. The right-hander threw 65 of 101 pitches for strikes in Thursday's start, limiting the damage to a solo home run by Jorge Polanco in the fourth inning, which was the first homer Lugo's given up in this five-start stretch. Overall, he's maintained a 2.65 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 83:30 K:BB through 95 innings over 16 starts. Lugo is projected to make his next appearance at home versus the Pirates.

Baldwin went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Baldwin broke up Dustin May's shutout bid in the eighth inning. Baldwin has struggled for playing time when in the majors lately, and his best path to starts is in center field while Michael Taylor (neck) is out of the lineup and Luis Robert (hamstring) is on the injured list. For the season, Baldwin is batting .216 with a .605 OPS, four homers, 18 RBI, 10 runs scored and two stolen bases over 152 plate appearances.

Civale (1-5) allowed five runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Thursday.

All of the damage came over the first three innings. Civale has pitched to a 4.29 ERA and 1.62 WHIP while losing three of his four starts with the White Sox. For the season, he's at a 4.60 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 33:18 B:BB across 43 innings between the White Sox and the Brewers. Civale is projected to make his next start at home versus the surging Blue Jays, which makes him a risky fantasy option once again.

Beeter was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Beeter was called up for his 2025 debut with the Yankees on Wednesday, and he allowed three earned runs across 1.2 innings Thursday against Toronto. He'll now head back to the minors and should serve as depth for the big-league club the rest of the season.
