Ortiz (4-9) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings in a 5-0 loss to the Cardinals. He struck out five.

The right-hander had no margin for error as Sonny Gray was busy firing a one-hitter for St. Louis, but Ortiz left a few too many pitches over the middle of the plate -- four of the six hits off him went for extra bases, including third-inning homers by Pedro Pages and Alec Burleson. Ortiz still generated 32 called or swinging strikes among his 102 pitches (69 total strikes) as he completed seven frames for the first time this season. He compiled a respectable 4.30 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB over 29.1 innings in June, but Ortiz will face a tough test to begin July, as he's scheduled for a road start next week against the Cubs.

Garcia went 1-for-5 with three RBI during Friday's 7-6 loss to the Mariners.

Garcia recorded just one hit but picked up his fourth three-RBI game of the season. He's now driven in at least one run in three straight contests and is up to 42 RBI on the season. June continues to be the strongest month of the season for the 32-year-old, who is slashing .288/.341/.452 with two home runs and 12 RBI since the month began.

Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a hit-by-pitch during Friday's 7-6 win over the Rangers.

Rodriguez turned in his second straight three-hit game against the Rangers, and he has been a big run producer for the Mariners in the past week. In the past six games, the 24-year-old has driven in eight runs and is now up to 41 RBI this year. He is slashing .255/.315/.409 on the season.

Gilbert settled for the no-decision after throwing 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven in Friday's 7-6 win over the Rangers.

Since his opening start of the year when he went seven strong, Gilbert has failed to pitch into the seventh inning in nine starts since. Along with the inability to work deep into ballgames, keeping the ball in the ballpark has been a struggle for the 28-year-old as well as he's allowed a home run in four straight outings. The right-hander is lined up to face the Royals in his next start.

Seager went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and three walks during Friday's 7-6 loss to the Mariners.

Seager sent his eighth home run out of the yard in the first inning and also drew a season-high three walks. The 31-year-old has a homer and RBI in back-to-back contests, and he has now driven in 18 on the season. It's been a down season for the 11-year veteran, as his .242/.336/.403 slash line is on track to be his worst as a big leaguer.

Ward went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 15-9 loss to the Nationals.

Ward hasn't logged a multi-hit effort since June 14 in Baltimore. Over his last 12 games, he's gone 8-for-44 (.182) with five extra-base hits and eight RBI. The outfielder is still one of 12 players to reach the 20-homer mark through Friday's action, and with this game being the midpoint of the Angels' season, he's on pace to push for 40 homers, which would smash his career high of 25 from last season. He's batting just .208 but has a .465 slugging percentage while adding 55 RBI, 44 runs scored, 16 doubles, one triple and a stolen base over 79 contests in a near-everyday role in left field.

Schanuel went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Friday's 15-9 loss to the Nationals.

Schanuel has tapped into a bit of power lately, going 13-for-49 (.265) with four homers and three doubles over his last 11 games. The first baseman isn't known for his slugging, and it's unclear if he'll be able to sustain his recent success over a longer stretch. For the season, he's at seven homers, 32 RBI, 40 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles, one triple and a .276/.364/.413 slash line across 78 games.

Eovaldi took the no-decision after throwing three innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Mariners.

Eovaldi made his first start in exactly a month, and it came with mixed results. The 35-year-old lasted just three innings and 45 pitches, and he surrendered three runs in the process, tied for his most runs allowed in a start all season. It will likely take some time for the right-hander to get where he was before the injury, and that was one of the best pitchers in the game while sporting a 1.56 ERA. Assuming no setbacks, Eovaldi is set to face the Orioles in his next appearance.

Adell went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 15-9 loss to the Nationals.

Adell is up to 18 homers on the year, including 11 over 24 games in June and five across his last nine contests. He got the Angels on the board in the second inning, answering a two-run shot from Josh Bell that opened the scoring in the top of the frame. Adell has also hit safely in nine straight games, going 11-for-34 (.324) in that span to solidify his role as the Angels' starting center fielder. He's now at a .234/.308/.498 slash line through 74 games while adding 42 RBI, 31 runs scored and three stolen bases.

Soriano allowed eight runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Friday.

Soriano had allowed just two runs over his prior three starts, spanning 20.2 innings, but he burned fantasy managers in what was a favorable matchup on paper. Despite the poor performance, he escaped with his fourth no-decision in five starts in June, as the Angels pulled ahead in their half of the fifth inning following his exit. Soriano was consistently strong in May, but he bookended his strong three-start stretch in the middle of June with poor outings to begin and end the month. Overall, he's at a 3.99 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 84:45 K:BB through 97 innings over 17 starts this season. The right-hander's next outing is expected to be on the road in Atlanta.
