The Tigers acquired Mayfield and left-hander Jackson Wolf from the Padres on Monday in exchange for right-hander Casey Mize and infielder Gage Workman, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Mayfield, 21, sits in the low-90s with his fastball, but the rest of his arsenal is mid-rotation caliber, headlined by a plus changeup. The 6-foot-4 southpaw posted a 3.54 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 62 strikeouts in 53.1 innings across 15 starts at High-A Fort Wayne this season.

The Guardians acquired Lowe from the Reds on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Lowe had to settle for a minor-league contract with the Reds during that offseason but played his way into a regular role in slashing .266/.341/.480 with 12 home runs over 83 contests. The 31-year-old should be in line for regular reps against right-handed pitching.

The Twins traded Pena, Dasan Hill, John Klein and $250K in international cap space to the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for Jeff Hoffman, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Pena is an undersized (5-foot-10, 150 pounds) second baseman known for his bat-to-ball ability. He is slashing .300/.373/.362 with one home run, 20 steals and more walks (9.1 BB%) than strikeouts (7.0 K%) in 83 games across Single-A and High-A. Pena was more productive in a repeat of Single-A (114 wRC+) than at the more age-appropriate High-A (71 wRC+).

The Blue Jays acquired Klein, left-hander Dasan Hill, infielder Dameury Pena and $250,000 in international bonus pool space from the Twins on Monday exchange for right-hander Jeff Hoffman on Monday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Klein appeared in three games for Minnesota this season, but spent most of his time with Triple-A St. Paul. At the Triple-A level, the 24-year-old has recorded a 5.91 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 74:34 K:BB in 64 innings this season. The right-hander will report to Triple-A Buffalo to begin his time in the Toronto organization.

The Jays have a history of chasing high-upside prep lefties, selecting Johnny King, Ricky Tiedemann and Brandon Barriera in recent drafts, and Hill is cut from the same cloth. The 6-foot-5 southpaw was given an aggressive assignment to High-A for his age-20 season and while he has missed plenty of bats (35.8 K%), Hill's control has been a problem (17.2 BB%). He has a 5.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 77:37 K:BB in 45 innings across 16 starts.

The Twins acquired Hoffman from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for Dasan Hill, John Klein and Dameury Pena, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Hoffman lost his closer job with the Blue Jays early on this season, but he's been dominant since the beginning of June, turning in a 1.21 ERA and 30:8 K:BB over 22.1 innings. Yoendrys Gomez has fared well as the Twins' closer, but he will have competition with Hoffman for saves now. Hoffman is under contract for 2027 with a salary of $12.67 million.

The Guardians acquired Griffin from Washington on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Guardians acquire Griffin, a starting pitching rental on an expiring contract after the 2026 season. Griffin, who made his first All-Star game this season, will join the Guardians as they bolster their starting rotation. The 30-year-old is tied for fourth in the majors with 12 wins, owning a 3.06 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 116:30 K:BB through 129.1 innings. The left-hander will join a staff consisting of Gavin Williams, Parker Messick, Joey Cantillo and Tanner Bibee.

The Red Sox acquired Miller and outfielder Carlos Gutierrez from the Giants on Monday in exchange for infielder Marcelo Mayer (forearm), Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Miller will make his way to Boston in the midst of one of the more dominant stretches of his career. Dating back to June 12, the 28-year-old has delivered 14 consecutive scoreless appearances. The left-hander appeared to have worked his way into the Giants' unsettled closer picture, but with the move to Boston, he'll operate as a setup man in front of Aroldis Chapman.

Boston acquired White from Atlanta on Monday in exchange for right-hander Tyler Uberstine, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

White has largely served as a short-side platoon player in the Atlanta outfield this season, slashing .233/.285/.406 with five home runs and four stolen bases across 144 plate appearances. He'll likely fill a similar role in Boston, where he could replace the left-handed-hitting Jarren Duran in left field when the Red Sox face left-handed pitchers. White is under team control through the 2028 season.

The Yankees acquired Ramos from the Giants on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Yankees were seeking a right-handed-hitting bat and have landed one in Ramos, who has slashed .292/.343/.492 against left-handed pitching this season. The downside with Ramos is that he's hit only .256/.292/.404 in 2026 versus righties, and he's regarded as a poor defensive outfielder. Ramos will be under team control through 2029.
