Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during the Astros' 4-1 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

All four of the Astros' runs Saturday came from solo home runs off Jacob deGrom, with Alvarez belting his homer in the first inning. It was his second home run in three games and 15th of the season, which is tied for third most in the American League behind Munetaka Murakami (17) and Aaron Judge (16). In addition to the long balls, Alvarez is slashing .322/.429/.649 with 31 RBI, 30 runs scored and a steal across 205 plate appearances this season.

Teng (2-3) earned the win against the Rangers on Saturday, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out seven across five scoreless innings.

Teng opened his start on a strong note by striking out each of the first two batters he faced in the first inning. He allowed at least two baserunners in three of the next four frames but managed to keep the Rangers off the board and finished his night with 11 whiffs while tossing 46 strikes on 76 pitches (60.5 percent strike rate) to pick up his first win since his season debut. Teng sits at a 2.61 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 31 innings this season and is expected to be a part of the Astros' six-man rotation in the short term. He's slated to take on the Cubs in Chicago next weekend.

Pederson went 1-for-3 with two walks and an RBI single during the Rangers' 4-1 loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Pederson supplied the Rangers' lone run when his single in the seventh inning brought Jake Burger home. Pederson is up to 10 RBI on the season and is slashing .214/.333/.330 with three home runs and 13 runs scored in 126 plate appearances. He's batting. 188 with a .661 OPS through 12 games in May.

Martinez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Marlins, allowing no runs on five hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out four.

The 35-year-old right-hander has been a model of consistency for the Rays to begin the season, giving up two earned runs or fewer in each of his first nine starts. Martinez, a former reliever, has touched the 90-pitch threshold on just one occasion in 2026, but he's still managed to work into the sixth frame in all but two of his outings. Martinez has a tidy 1.51 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB over 53.2 frames, but he's next lined up for a tough test against the division-rival Yankees.

Garver was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Padres due to lower-back tightness, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Jhonny Pereda ended up starting behind home plate Saturday, and it's unclear whether Garver will be available for Sunday's series finale. Cal Raleigh (oblique) landed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, so Pereda would be the Mariners' top catcher if Garver were to also miss extended time.

DeGrom (3-2) took the loss against the Astros on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out four across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

It was an uncharacteristic night for deGrom, who gave up two solo home runs in both the first and fourth innings of Saturday's loss. It was the second time in 257 regular-season starts that the veteran right-hander allowed at least four home runs in a game, per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle. DeGrom has yielded 10 home runs this season (tied for third most in the American League) but has otherwise pitched well with a 3.02 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 61:8 K:BB across 50.2 innings. His next start is lined up for next weekend on the road against the Angels.

Bassitt (3-3) took the loss Saturday against the Nationals, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out four.

Washington hit Bassitt hard Saturday, tagging the hurler for four extra-base hits on the day. The veteran right-hander has been highly erratic during his first season with the Orioles, giving up one or no earned runs in four starts while surrendering at least four runs in his other five outings. Bassitt will be tough to trust in fantasy lineups when he takes an uninspiring 5.44 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 30:19 K:BB over 43 innings into his next scheduled appearance versus Detroit.

Bello will start in Sunday's series finale against Atlanta, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

The right-hander has worked behind opener Jovani Moran in each of his last two outings, but Bello will be the starter for Sunday's contest, rather than operate in a bulk-relief role. The 27-year-old pitched well in those last two appearances, allowing two runs and eight hits and two walks while striking out 12 across 13.1 innings.

Altuve was removed in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the Rangers due to a left side injury, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Altuve was holding his left side after grounding into a double play in the eighth inning and was then replaced by Nick Allen at second base. The Astros should have an update on Altuve's injury once the veteran second baseman undergoes tests Sunday, per Julia Morales of Space City Home Network. Altuve went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run prior to his exit Saturday. Allen or Shay Whitcomb should be the top candidates to start at second base in Sunday's series finale if Altuve is unable to play.

The Rays will place Fraley on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a hernia, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays scratched Fraley from Saturday's lineup due to the injury. Topkin relays that the degree and severity of the hernia are not yet known, though Fraley will likely be out of action for at least six weeks. Jonny DeLuca and Ryan Vilade should both see more reps in the outfield in Fraley's absence, and Carson Williams is expected to be called up from Triple-A Durham to take Fraley's spot on the 26-man roster.
