David Fry RF | CLE
Guardians' David Fry: Moves to LF, homers in win
Fry started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Brewers.
Fry got Cleveland on the board in the third inning, when he tied the game with his fourth home run of the season. It was his first since May 4 and first RBI in 18 contests. Typically a lineup regular against left-handers, the right-handed batter could receive regular run against both lefties and righties due to injuries to outfielders, Chase DeLauter (ribs) and Angel Martinez (foot). Fry has started four consecutive games, the last three of which were the direct result of those injuries. Prior to Thursday, he defended right field, DeLauter's usual position. In irregular playing time this season, Fry is slashing .230/.347/.390 with four home runs and nine RBI over 45 games.

Mike Trout CF | LAA
Angels' Mike Trout: Hopeful for short IL stint
Trout, who was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Thursday, said he's beginning to feel better and is hopeful it will be a short stay on the shelf, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Trout sustained the injury during the eighth inning of Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks. The outfielder explained Thursday that he originally thought that he was dealing with a cramp, and he stated that his concern level is "pretty low," according to Erica Weston of Bally Sports West. Trout currently has no timetable for his return, but fantasy managers can at least take solace in the fact that he appears to have avoided the worst-case scenario with his hamstring.

The rookie second baseman entered the game having gone 3-for-32 (.094) over the previous eight contests and didn't drive in a run in the previous seven.

Blue Jays' Mason Fluharty: Picks up first save
Fluharty turned in a perfect ninth inning with no strikeouts to earn the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox.

Red Sox's Sonny Gray: Goes seven frames in no-decision
Gray didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Blue Jays, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out four.

Gray has now turned in quality starts in six of his last seven outings, posting a 3.06 ERA in that span (35.1 innings). Overall, his ERA sits at 3.12 through 13 starts (69.1 innings) this season with a 1.18 WHIP and 55:17 K:BB. Gray is currently lined up to face the Rockies on the road his next time out.

Adley Rutschman C | BAL
Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Hit in head, exits game
Rutschman was removed from Thursday's game against Seattle after getting hit in the head by an errant throw, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
An errant throw to first base connected with Rutschman's helmet while he was attempting to leg out an infield hit in the ninth inning. He was taken out of the game immediately after the incident and will presumably be tested for a concussion. An update on his status may come after the game.
