With news that Wyatt Langford (forearm) was pulled from an extended spring training game Thursday due to continued soreness, the lefty-hitting Osuna should remain in the outfield mix. All six of his starts have come against right-handed starters, although Osuna is usually lifted for a pinch hitter when a lefty reliever enter games. Sixteen of his 17 plate appearances have come against righties.

The Athletics optioned Basso to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Basso made three appearances after being promoted from Triple-A on April 20, allowing two earned runs on five hits and a walk over 2.2 innings. He'll aim to get back on track in the minors; meanwhile, the A's will call up Luis Morales to replace Basso and give their bullpen a fresh arm.

Narvaez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

Strahm allowed no hits and a walk while striking out two over a scoreless inning in Friday's win against the Mariners.

Strahm entered with a one-run lead in the eighth inning and worked a clean frame to record his eighth hold of the season. The southpaw has logged nine scoreless outings across 12 appearances in 2026. Across 11.2 innings, the 34-year-old owns a 3.86 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with a 14:6 K:BB and has served as one of the Royals' top high-leverage arms, though the ninth inning has belonged to Lucas Erceg while Carlos Estevez (foot) has been sidelined.

The Orioles optioned Wells to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

Wells owns a 3.44 ERA and 1.20 WHIP through 18.1 innings this season, but the O's will send him to the minors as they make room on the active roster for Dietrich Enns' (foot) return from the injured list and Nick Raquet's promotion from Triple-A. Wells will likely be welcomed back to Baltimore's bullpen when the team needs a fresh arm.
