Winn (thumb) will have his activation from the 10-day injured list delayed due to discomfort he felt during pregame batting practice Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn had targeted a return Saturday, but certain kinds of swings still give him trouble and the Cardinals "need to get on the other side of it completely" before the shortstop is reinstated, per manager Oliver Marmol. The 24-year-old has missed the last two-plus weeks with a small fracture in his left thumb. Winn's readiness to return to the active roster will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Thomas Saggese has drawn the last six starts at shortstop for St. Louis in Winn's stead.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Goodman will hit the bench Sunday after a run of eight straight starts, during which he batted .219 (7-for-32) with three walks, two doubles, four RBI, four runs and 12 strikeouts. Brett Sullivan will instead do the catching for Tanner Gordon while batting seventh in the series finale versus St. Louis.

Kim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Kim had started the last four games and seven of the previous nine, going 6-for-21 (.286 average) with one walk, two RBI, one run and one stolen base during that span. The 30-year-old is still slashing an abysmal .113/.204/.124 on the season and may have more work to do before settling back into an everyday role at shortstop.

Basabe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Mets.

Basabe lined a homer to left-center field in the eighth inning, giving San Francisco an 8-3 lead. He's recorded a hit in four of the Giants' last six games, batting .286 with four runs scored, four RBI and two home runs in 17 plate appearances during that span. The 25-year-old is slashing .216/.264/.382 with 12 runs scored, 12 RBI, five long balls and two stolen bases across 111 plate appearances this season.

McCray went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Mets.

McCray hit a leadoff single in the third inning before coming around to score, and he also launched a solo shot in the ninth. The 25-year-old recorded his first multi-hit performance of the season and is now slashing .143/.262/.304 with 11 runs scored, four stolen bases, three RBI and two long balls across 68 plate appearances in 2026.

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto will get a breather after starting the previous four games and going 1-for-13 with two walks and four strikeouts. Garrett Stubbs will step in behind the plate to catch for right-hander Aaron Nola while batting ninth.

Jorge is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Jorge was called up from Triple-A Louisville on Friday and made his first MLB start Saturday, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. The 22-year-old will shift to the bench Sunday as lefty Kyle Harrison takes the mound for Milwaukee, with Jorge expected to continue operating on the strong side of a platoon in center field moving forward. Dane Myers is starting in center and batting leadoff for Cincinnati.

The Mets optioned Yan to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

Yan performed well after being called up in early August with three runs allowed in his first nine appearances, but he'll now head back to Syracuse after surrendering five earned runs in his past four outings. Tobias Myers will fill the open roster spot for the Mets.

The Mets recalled Myers from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

The right-hander has been at Triple-A since just before the All-Star break but will rejoin the Mets after giving up just two earned runs with a 17:2 K:BB across his past six appearances (14.2 innings) for Syracuse. Myers has struggled to a 6.26 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB over 46 frames in the majors this year and should immediately be available in long relief.

The Pirates optioned Yorke to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

The 24-year-old started Saturday against Angels southpaw Yusei Kikuchi, going 0-for-1 with a walk before being replaced by a pinch hitter. Yorke collected four hits with a double, a stolen base and six RBI in his first two games after being called up in mid-August, but he's gone 3-for-20 across the ensuing 11 contests and has now lost his place on the MLB roster. Ronny Simon was recalled from Indianapolis in a corresponding move.
