Woodruff announced Saturday that he will undergo season-ending capsule repair surgery on his right shoulder, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Woodruff previously underwent the same procedure in October 2023 and ended up missing the entire 2024 campaign. He said he intends to pitch again once he's healthy, but after needing approximately 20 months to make a full recovery from the surgery the first time around, he's unlikely to be ready to return to action until 2028. The 33-year-old will close the book on the 2026 season with a 2.98 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB through 45.1 innings across nine starts.

Song isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Kansas City.

Song went 2-for-18 across his final six games before the All-Star break, and he'll now miss out on the starting nine for a second consecutive game to begin the second half. Manny Machado will get another start at third base as a result, while Miguel Andujar works as the DH.

Gurriel isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis.

Gurriel went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Friday's loss, and he'll now retreat to the bench to begin Saturday's game. Gabriel Moreno will replace him as Arizona's designated hitter, giving James McCann a start at catcher.

The Rockies placed Criswell on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right shoulder strain.

Criswell gave up two earned runs in two innings Friday in what was his first appearance since returning to the majors last Saturday, but the Rockies will now be without his services until at least Aug. 2. His roster spot will be filled by Tomoyuki Sugano (back), who was reinstated from the injured list to start Saturday's game against the Reds.

The 36-year-old righty has accumulated a 4.80 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 84.1 innings this season, and he'll be tasked with keeping quiet a Cincinnati offense that's posted a .770 OPS since the beginning of the month. Jeff Criswell (shoulder) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Misiorowski (arm) will start Tuesday's game against the Mets, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 MIlwaukee reports.

Misiorowski missed his final turn through the rotation prior to the All-Star break due to arm fatigue, but after getting an opportunity to rest during the intermission and for Milwaukee's weekend series against Miami, he's been officially cleared to return to the rotation. The 24-year-old flamethrower is firmly in contention for the National League Cy Young Award after posting a 1.62 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 167:27 K:BB through his first 18 starts, but Milwaukee could continue to limit his workload for the rest of the season as he trends toward surpassing his career-high innings total by a wide margin.

Polanco isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

Polanco will grab a seat in the dugout to begin Saturday's game after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Thursday's second-half opener. While he sits, Juan Soto will work as the Mets' designated hitter, allowing Tyrone Taylor to start in left field.

The Brewers recalled Perkins from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Perkins will rejoin the big club as the roster replacement for Sal Frelick, who landed on the injured list Saturday with a strained right shoulder. Perkins has had limited success in the majors this season, slashing just .157/.250/.258 across 101 plate appearances, and he will likely work in a bench role while Luis Lara receives the largest increase in playing time.

The Brewers placed Frelick on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right shoulder strain, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Frelick has been playing through pain in his shoulder for multiple months, per Sophia Minnaert of Brewers.tv, and he made an early exit from Friday's win over the Marlins after aggravating the injury while making a throw from the outfield. He's set to undergo further testing to determine the severity of his injury and help establish a clearer timetable for his return. Blake Perkins was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to replenish the Brewers' outfield depth, though Luis Lara could end up receiving most of reps in right field in Frelick's absence.
