Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Struggles against Athletics
Freeland (1-7) allowed six runs on 10 hits and struck out four without walking a batter over 5.2 innings to take the loss versus the Athletics on Saturday.
Freeland has now allowed at least six runs in six of his 12 starts. This was the third time he avoided walking a batter, and he gave up only one home run, but that's a small consolation given the overall results. The veteran southpaw continues to struggle in 2026 with a 7.98 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 49:16 K:BB over 58.2 innings. Freeland is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates.

Eli White RF | ATL
Braves' Eli White: Logs three XBH in victory
White went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and two total RBI in a 3-1 win against the Mets on Saturday.
White produced all three of Atlanta's extra-base hits in the victory and was responsible for all but one of the team's runs. He began the scoring with an RBI double in the second inning and added a solo blast to left field in the fourth. Saturday marked White's second start in four games since Ronald Acuna (hamstring) landed on the IL. Both of those starts have come against left-handed hurlers, while Mike Yastrzemski has started the two games in which Atlanta has faced a righty.

Sean Manaea RP | NYM
Mets' Sean Manaea: Logs quality start but takes loss
Manaea (1-2) took the loss against Atlanta on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.
Manaea was deployed in a traditional starting role for the first time this season after working behind an opener his last two times out and as a long reliever prior to that. The southpaw gave up one run in each of the second and fourth frames, but that was the extent of the damage Atlanta managed against him. Manaea was tagged with the loss, however, since New York mustered just one run against five Atlanta hurlers. Still, this was a promising outing for Manaea, who completed six frames for the first time since the 2024 campaign. Given this performance, it seems likely he'll continue to be rolled out as a starter, though he's lined up for a tough matchup on the road against the Phillies his next time out.

Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Nails down 14th save
Iglesias notched a save against the Mets on Saturday, allowing a hit and issuing one walk while striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.
It wasn't exactly an easy outing for Iglesias, who entered in the ninth inning with Atlanta up by two runs. The veteran closer allowed a leadoff double to Juan Soto and then put the tying run on base when he walked Marcus Semien with one out, but Iglesias was able to escape unscathed by getting Francisco Alvarez to ground into a double play. That allowed Iglesias to remain perfect in save chances with a 14-for-14 mark on the season. He's gone 9-for-9 while racking up a 16:4 K:BB over 14.2 frames since returning from a stint on the injured list in early May.

Martin Perez SP | ATL
Braves' Martin Perez: Picks up fifth victory
Perez (5-3) earned the win over the Mets on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.
Perez got through five scoreless frames before exiting with a runner on second base and one out in the sixth. That runner came around to score following the lefty's departure, but that didn't prevent Perez from finishing with the win. The veteran hurler has completed six innings just once over 14 appearances (10 starts) this season, though he's put together a quality 2.90 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 51:21 K:BB through 62 innings. Perez's place in the rotation has become even more important due to Spencer Strider (elbow) landing on the injured list Saturday, and the former lines up to next take the mound at home against Milwaukee.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Michael Soroka: Impressive again in no-decision
Soroka completed seven innings against Cincinnati on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks while striking out seven batters in a no-decision.
Soroka gave up a run on two hits in the third inning, but aside from that frame the only baserunner he allowed came on a first-inning hit-by-pitch. The right-hander retired the final 13 batters he faced and finished with his sixth quality start over his past eight outings while fanning seven batters. Soroka is in the midst of an excellent campaign, posting an 8-3 record along with a 3.11 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 79:17 K:BB over 81 innings spanning 14 starts. Perhaps most importantly, he's managed to stay healthy -- he's nine innings away from reaching 90 in the majors for the first time since the 2019 season.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Phillies' Trea Turner: Stuck in brutal slump
Turner went 1-for-6 in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Brewers.
Turner remains mired in a frigid cold spell at the plate. Over his last 61 plate appearances (14 games), the speedy shortstop is slashing a woeful .207/.246/.241 with no home runs, two RBI, three stolen bases and seven runs scored. Turner's numbers on the season aren't much better, as he is slashing just .222/.272/.335 with seven home runs, 21 RBI, 14 steals and 41 runs scored across 305 plate appearances.

Tony Santillan RP | CIN
Reds' Tony Santillan: Breezes to third save
Santillan notched a save against the Diamondbacks on Saturday with no strikeouts in a perfect inning of work.
Santillan faced a stiff test when he entered in the ninth inning, as he was summoned to protect a one-run lead against the heart of Arizona's lineup. The right-hander passed with flying colors, retiring the side in order on three groundouts while throwing 10 of 14 pitches for strikes. It was Santillan's first save since May 19, and he's the only pitcher on the team to have multiple saves (three) this season aside from the injured Emilio Pagan (hamstring). Pagan figures to retake the closer role once healthy, but until then Santillan seems to be at the head of Cincinnati's closer committee.

Rhett Lowder SP | CIN
Reds' Rhett Lowder: Shows improved control Saturday
Lowder allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Arizona on Saturday.
Lowder returned from a one-month absence in his previous start and looked quite rusty, issuing five walks over three scoreless innings. The right-hander was much more in control Saturday, handing out a tolerable two free passes and throwing 62 of 96 pitches for strikes. Lowder also racked up a solid 15 whiffs and fanned six batters, and the only run he allowed came on a first-inning homer by Corbin Carroll. This was a promising outing for Lowder, but he's projected for a tough challenge his next time out, as he's lined up for a road matchup against the Yankees.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Dealing with right knee discomfort
Suzuki exited Saturday's game against the Giants due to right knee discomfort, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Suzuki was removed from the game in the bottom of the fourth inning after he attempted to make a running catch in right field. The right knee is the same one he sustained a strained PCL during the World Baseball Classic, causing him to miss the first 12 games of the season. However, it's not clear if the current knee injury is related to the prior one. Matt Shaw replaced Suzuki in the outfield following his departure.
