Swanson went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and two RBI in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rays.

Swanson swiped his 16th bag of the season in 19 attempts, and he also increased his RBI total to 74. The shortstop set a new career high last year with 19 steals, and that number is within striking distance if he stays active on the basepaths down the stretch in 2025. Swanson is also sitting at 22 home runs this season, which is five away from tying his career best.

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rays.

Hoerner extended his hitting streak to eight games, and he has multiple hits in each of his last three contests. The speedy infielder is now batting .297 for the season, which would be his best average since he hit .302 across only 44 games back in 2021. Hoerner is also up to 27 stolen bases this year, and if he swipes three more bags he'll reach the 30-steal plateau for the third straight season.

O'Brien was charged with three runs and pulled from a save chance without recording an out in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.

The Cardinals turned to O'Brien with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, and he allowed four straight batters to reach -- the first two via hit-by-pitch -- before being lifted. Kyle Leahy then came on and allowed one of two inherited runners to score, adding another run to O'Brien's ledger. The three earned runs charged to O'Brien match the number he had allowed over his previous 29 appearances combined. He should remain in the mix for saves for St. Louis down the stretch.

Crim went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Saturday against the Padres.

Crim has started consecutive games at first base due to Warming Bernabel (concussion) being sidelined and Michael Toglia demoted. Crim has made the most of his chances, knocking in five with a double and a home run across his two starts. He has hit sixth and fifth in the order and looks likely to get regular at-bats until Bernabel can return.

Lowder (oblique/forearm) allowed one earned run on two hits and struck out two over two innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on Saturday. He also hit a batter.

Lowder is expected to make one rehab start with Louisville before the minor-league season wraps up, but the right-hander may not be activated from the 60-day injured list before the end of the regular season. Though he appears to be in line for a normal offseason of preparation, Lowder is still expected to pitch in the Arizona Fall League to make up for the development time he lost out on in 2025. He's spent the entire season on the injured list, first due to a right forearm strain suffered in spring training before he was shut down again after straining his left oblique during a rehab appearance with Louisville on May 22.

Carroll went 0-for-2 with three walks, two steals and a run scored in Saturday's 5-2 extra-inning win over the Twins.

Carroll was intentionally walked in the 10th inning, stole his second base of the game and eventually scored. The two steals give him seven thefts in 11 games this month and upped his season total to 28. Arizona's pursuit of a wild-card playoff spot is likely the more important motivation for Carroll at the moment -- the Diamondbacks are two games back of the slumping Mets -- but the outfielder is just two steals shy of his first 30-30 season.

Gurriel (knee) underwent surgery Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Gurriel tore his ACL during a game Sept. 1 and is slated to miss a significant portion of the 2026 season. A clear timeline hasn't been established, and his return depends on a number of factors. Nine months is the starting point, and recovery can extend up to 12 months.

Stewart went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 11-5 loss to the Athletics.

Stewart is now batting .250 over nine games in the majors, and he's added two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored. The infield prospect has settled into a timeshare with Spencer Steer at first base since he was called up when rosters expanded to 28 at the beginning of September. Stewart should continue to display high-quality contact skills as he adjusts to major-league pitching, and he'll compete for playing time at the corner-infield spots to close out 2025.

Benson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 11-5 loss to the Athletics.

Benson has featured primarily in a bench role since his Aug. 17 recall, though this was his second straight start as he covered for TJ Friedl, who was the designated hitter, in center field. Benson has posted a .229/.279/.448 slash line with 11 homers, seven doubles, two triples, two stolen bases, 36 RBI and 30 runs scored over 222 plate appearances this season. It's unclear if the outfielder will be able to carve out a larger role to close out the year, though he could get the chance to if Noelvi Marte continues slumping.

Stephenson went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 11-5 loss to the Athletics.

Stephenson logged his first multi-hit effort since returning from a fractured thumb. He's gone 4-for-21 (.190) since his return, though three of those hits have gone for extra bases, and he's added seven RBI in that span. For the season, the catcher is up to a .223/.309/.403 slash line with 11 homers, 43 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 doubles over 79 contests.
