Greene allowed five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three over 2.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Saturday.

Greene gave up a pair of home runs in the second inning and his struggles continued in the third before the early hook. This was his shortest start of the year and his worst performance since allowing five runs over three innings April 19 versus the Orioles. He's still at a 3.01 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 116:23 K:BB through 92.2 innings over 17 starts, so this can be chalked up as a bad night, especially since four of his previous five outings were quality starts. The right-hander will try to get back on track in a home start versus the Cubs next week.

Herrera went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and an additional run scored during the Cardinals' 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Herrera got things started early with a solo homer off Jacob Misiorowski in the first inning. It was Herrera's 16th home run of the season, five of which have come in 11 games since Sept. 1. Over that span, he has gone 11-for-39 (.282) with one steal, nine runs and seven RBI.

Saggese went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during the Cardinals' 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Saturday marked Saggese's fourth game this season with at least three hits, two of which have come over his last three games. Saggese has started at shortstop in four consecutive games and will be the starter moving forward after Masyn Winn (knee) was shut down for the rest of the season. Saggese has gone 11-for-39 (.282) with four RBI, three doubles and a steal since Sept. 1.

Gray did not factor into the decision in Saturday's extra-inning game against the Brewers, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight across five innings.

Gray was in line for his 14th win of the season -- which would have tied a career high he set twice -- but the Cardinals squandered their 6-1 lead after yielding five runs across the eighth and ninth innings. He generated 14 whiffs on 95 pitches (58 strikes) and extended his streak of logging at least five strikeouts to 16 games. Gray is up to 187 strikeouts on the season, which is tied with Yoshinobu Yamamoto for seventh most in the National League. Gray is in line for a rematch against the Brewers at home next weekend.

Triolo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a 5-1 win against the Nationals on Saturday.

Triolo capped a late Pittsburgh offensive surge with a 409-foot solo blast in the ninth inning. The long ball was the only extra-base hit by either team in a game that featured strong starting pitching on both sides. Triolo finished with his third straight multi-hit performance, and he's gone 6-for-14 with three extra-base hits during that span.

Alvarez finished with a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six scoreless innings.

Alvarez was very impressive in his third big-league outing, preventing the Pirates from crossing the plate over six frames. He exited in line for the victory, but Washington's bullpen blew the lead by giving up five runs in the final two innings. Though Alvarez was unable to record the win, he continued what has been an excellent beginning to his big-league career -- through three starts, he has a 1.15 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB across 15.2 innings. The southpaw's next appearance is slated to be a road matchup against the Mets.

Rojas went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 13-7 win over the Giants.

Rojas has logged two steals over his last five games, and he's up to four thefts on the season. The utility infielder has gone 12-for-36 (.333) over his last 11 games, seeing time mainly between second base and third base. Rojas has a decent .262/.321/.393 slash line on the year while adding six home runs, 24 RBI, 31 runs scored and 15 doubles through 276 plate appearances.

Freeman went 3-for-6 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 13-7 win over the Giants.

Freeman has gone 11-for-48 (.229) over 11 games to begin September. This was his first multi-RBI game since he drove in three versus the Padres on Aug. 24. While the first baseman hasn't been at his best lately, he's avoided prolonged slumps -- he hasn't gone consecutive games without a hit since Aug. 13-15. Overall, Freeman still has a .293/.364/.494 slash line with 20 home runs, 38 doubles, 81 RBI, 72 runs scored and five stolen bases over 134 contests this season.

Frelick went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored during the Brewers' 9-8 extra-inning win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Frelick put the Brewers on the board in the third on a sacrifice fly to center field before contributing to Milwaukee's ninth-inning rally with an RBI double and scoring the tying run three batters later. Saturday marked the fourth time this season that Frelick logged three runs in a game. In 163 plate appearances since the All-Star game, he has slashed .303/.377/.415 with two steals, 25 runs, three homers and 18 RBI.

Misiorowski did not factor into the decision in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Cardinals, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings.

Misiorowski gave up home runs to Ivan Herrera and Brendan Donovan in the first and third innings, respectively, which made Saturday's contest just the second time Misiorowski has yielded more than one homer in a game this season. Misiorowski has yielded at least three earned runs in five of his last six starts, during which he's posted a 6.41 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 26.2 innings. He's lined up for a rematch against the Cardinals in St. Louis next weekend.
