The Diamondbacks recalled Kaiser from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old spent the past couple weeks with Reno but will join the Diamondbacks on Tuesday as Lourdes Gurriel (knee) lands on the injured list. Kaiser is likely to operate as a utility infielder while up in the majors.

Schmitt (elbow) is not in San Francisco's lineup Tuesday in Colorado.

Schmitt is dealing with an elbow injury that he suffered on a hit-by-pitch in Monday's series opener versus the Rockies. He stayed in the game for one batter but was ultimately lifted for a pinch runner. Despite X-rays returning negative Monday, Christian Koss is serving as the starting second baseman and batting eighth Tuesday.

The Diamondbacks optioned Burgos (forearm) to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Burgos was pulled from Monday's game after taking a comebacker off his right forearm in the ninth inning. X-rays on his forearm came back negative after the game, but he'll now head down to the minors and rehab his injury. Taylor Rashi was recalled from Reno to fill the open bullpen spot.

The Diamondbacks recalled Rashi from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Rashi was sent down to Triple-A on Friday after securing a three-inning save during his MLB debut, but he'll now return to the big leagues to give Arizona another fresh bullpen arm to work with. Juan Burgos (forearm) was optioned to Reno in a corresponding move.

Gurriel was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a torn ACL in his right knee.

The 31-year-old suffered the injury in left field during Monday's contest and will now miss the rest of the season. Gurriel closes out 2025 with 19 homers, a career-high 10 steals and a .248/.295/.418 slash line in 129 games. The veteran outfielder has a $13 million player option for 2026, which he seems likely to exercise since he's now poised to be unavailable for the start of next season.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Winker has been shut down from all activities and will likely miss the remainder of the season, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Winker has been on the injured list since mid-July due to back inflammation. He was given the green light to begin a rehab assignment last Wednesday but was shut down after going 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in two games with Single-A St. Lucie. With time running out for the 32-year-old to return to Queens this year, it now appears that he'll shift his focus to getting ready for the start of the 2026 campaign. Winker is due to hit free agency this winter.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Muncy (oblique/illness) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City later this week and could return during next week's homestand, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Muncy's return from a right oblique strain has been delayed a bit by a chest cold, but he looks to be close to overcoming that illness and is nearly game-ready. The third baseman has been sidelined since mid-August.

Edman (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Edman has been ramping up his rehab from a right ankle sprain and is ready to test things out in a game setting. While Edman will be the designated hitter Tuesday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Edman will focus primarily on center field on his rehab assignment, suggesting that's the position he'll likely settle in at when back with the big club. Edman has been out since early August but could rejoin the Dodgers for their homestand next week.

Soroka (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

It's the first time Soroka has faced hitters since he landed on the 15-day injured list in early August with a right shoulder strain. The right-hander has a chance to make it back before the end of the season, but he still has some ramping up to do, particularly if the Cubs want to bring him back as a starting pitcher.

Crow-Armstrong is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

Crow-Armstrong started the previous 18 games but will take a seat Tuesday after posting a .222/.288/.317 slash line during that stretch. Kevin Alcantara will instead start in center field for the Cubs, batting ninth.
