The right-hander cruised through four scoreless innings before falling victim to what's become a recurring issue this season -- unraveling when adversity arrives deeper into starts. In the fifth, he was tagged for a three-run homer by Randy Arozarena as part of a six-run frame, with four of the runs charged to Cease. The 29-year-old has been one of MLB's most frustrating arms in 2025, flashing elite swing-and-miss stuff with an 11.6 K/9 but struggling with command, as shown by his 3.87 BB/9 and 1.27 HR/9. Those inconsistencies have left him at 6-11 with a 4.82 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 142 innings in 27 starts.

Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Reds.

Smith's solo shot initiated a four-run rally in the sixth inning that helped the Dodgers secure the game. The catcher has had a rough August, going just 10-for-63 (.159) while adding three extra-base hits, nine RBI and a 12:22 BB:K over 19 games this month. The recent fade has taken a little of the shine off his season-long production, though he's still at a .295/.403/.494 slash line with 16 homers, 59 RBI, 61 runs scored and two stolen bases over 104 contests. Smith isn't in danger of losing the starting role to Dalton Rushing, though Smith has seen fairly standard rest once or twice a week throughout the year.

Scott allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Reds.

This was Scott's second appearance since returning from left elbow inflammation that landed him on the injured list in late July. The southpaw has reclaimed his closing role, though Kirby Yates has also recently returned from a back injury and could mix in for save chances if the Dodgers want to limit Scott's workload. For the season, Scott has collected 20 saves, eight holds and seven blown saves while adding a 3.97 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 50:11 K:BB over 47.2 innings.

Kershaw (9-2) allowed one run on two hits and struck out six without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Tuesday versus the Reds.

Kershaw threw just 72 pitches (49 strikes), but he was effective despite the lighter workload. He left the game with a 2-1 lead, and the Dodgers rallied to strengthen their advantage in the sixth. The southpaw has won five straight starts, allowing a total of six runs across 28.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 3.06 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 58:21 K:BB through 88.1 innings over 17 starts. Don't expect Kershaw to regularly exceed 90 pitches, but he has done a good job of being efficient this season to put himself in position to collect wins. He's projected to make his next start at Pittsburgh.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Crow-Armstrong logged his first multi-hit effort in seven games, having gone just 2-for-21 across his previous six contests. The outfielder was also able to log a steal for the first time since Aug. 10 versus the Cardinals. He's now at a .256/.295/.510 slash line with 31 steals, 28 home runs, 82 RBI, 80 runs scored, 34 doubles and four triples through 129 games this season.

Goodman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's victory over the Astros.

Goodman deposited a Hunter Brown sinker into the Crawford Boxes for a two-run homer in the third inning. The catcher's power has been a constant this season, as he's produced an .847 OPS with 23 doubles, four triples, 26 homers and 75 RBI across 116 games. Even with Colorado's season going poorly, the 25-year-old has consistently provided a spark offensively.

Boyd (12-7) allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Giants.

Boyd's spotty performances continued Tuesday, as he's now given up four or more runs in three of his last six starts. He also allowed multiple home runs in this outing, doing so for the first time since May 17 versus the White Sox. Boyd is now at a 2.82 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 137:36 K:BB through 153.1 innings over 26 starts. The southpaw hasn't had a workload this heavy since 2019, so it's possible he's wearing down a bit late in the campaign. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, which is projected to be in Colorado this weekend.

Moniak went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

Moniak delivered at the plate Tuesday, putting the Rockies ahead with an RBI single in the third inning and adding on with a two-run double in the fifth. The once highly-touted prospect has put together a respectable season in Colorado, though he's been slumping recently, slashing just .196/.193/.286 across his past 15 games.

Ramos went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Ramos had gone just 2-for-20 over his previous five games. He was dialed in Tuesday, and his RBI double in the fifth inning tied the contest at 2-2. Ramos is up to a .264/.337/.404 slash line on the year while adding 15 home runs, 56 RBI, 65 runs scored and six stolen bases over a career-high 129 games.

Flores went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Flores has homered twice over his last seven games, though he has gone a modest 4-for-19 (.211) in that span. The infielder's blast in the second inning opened the scoring Tuesday. Flores is up to 14 long balls, 64 RBI, 40 runs scored, one stolen base and nine doubles over 109 games this season. He continues to see steady playing time versus left-handed pitchers with only occasional starts against righties.
