The Padres optioned Hoeing to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Hoeing has yielded three runs with a 5:3 K:BB over eight frames since returning from a shoulder injury. He was a key reliever for the Padres last season and should be back up with the big club before long.

The Padres optioned Jacob to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

The right-hander was called up by San Diego on July 12 and appeared in just one game during his time with the big club, as he covered two scoreless frames Sunday in Washington. It's otherwise been a struggle for Jacob in the majors this season with a 6.39 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB over 25.1 innings.

The Padres recalled Hart from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Hart will provide reinforcement behind Tuesday's starter Stephen Kolek and could potentially follow the latter out of the bullpen. Hart has posted a 5.83 ERA and 19:6 K:BB over 29.1 innings at the big-league level this season.

Kolek -- who holds a 4.24 ERA and 49:22 K:BB across 68 major-league innings -- will draw the start Tuesday in Miami. Kyle Hart was also recalled and could form a piggyback situation with Kolek on Tuesday.

Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Yastrzemski started the previous 11 games versus right-handed pitchers but will head to the bench Tuesday while in the midst of a 4-for-31 slump. Luis Matos will take over in right field and bat ninth against Atlanta righty Davis Daniel.

Devers will start at first base and bat third in Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Devers has gone through workouts at first base since joining the Giants, but this will be his first start at a position other than third base in his pro career. It will be his first time playing anywhere on the field in 2025, as each of his first 102 starts between the Red Sox and Giants came at designated hitter.

McCutchen is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

McCutchen appears to be getting a routine breather after he had started in each of the Bucs' first four games out of the All-Star break while going 4-for-15 with a double and two walks. Bryan Reynolds will get a day off from patrolling right field and will replace McCutchen at designated hitter.

Davis will start at catcher and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

Davis and Joey Bart had been alternating turns behind the plate during the final week before the All-Star break and in the first series of the second half this past weekend, but the playing time at catcher might be starting to tilt more in Davis' favor. The Pirates will hand Davis his third start in four games, even though he's gone hitless with five strikeouts in 13 at-bats over his last five contests.

Freeman (illness) will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals.

Freeman missed the previous two contests while battling an illness, but he feels well enough to give it a go Tuesday. The 26-year-old has slashed an impressive .324/.401/.435 over 56 games in his first season in Colorado.

The Nationals transferred Crews (oblique) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

The transaction frees a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of left-hander Konnor Pilkington, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Rochester. Crews' timeline for a return won't be affected by the move, as he's already missed more than 60 days and is close to beginning a rehab assignment as he works his way back from a left oblique strain.
