Pallante (5-4) took the loss against the Cubs on Thursday, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts over five innings.

Pallante allowed a solo homer in the second inning -- his first homer surrendered since June 3 -- and issued a bases-loaded walk in the fourth. It was a mixed outing for the 26-year-old, who generated 12 whiffs but threw just 52 strikes on 94 pitches. He'll carry a 4.43 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 60:29 K:BB across 87.1 innings into a road matchup with the Pirates next week.

Junk allowed five runs on eight hits and struck out one without walking a batter over 3.2 innings in a no-decision Thursday versus the Giants.

Junk avoided walking a batter, but that was about the only positive to take from this unusually high-scoring contest at Oracle Park. He hasn't issued a walk in any of his last three outings, allowing six runs over 14.1 innings while adding 10 strikeouts. Junk won those previous two appearances and looks poised to have first dibs on the rotation spot that opened up when Max Meyer (hip) was ruled out for the season. Junk is at a 3.73 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 26:2 K:BB across 31.1 innings over seven appearances this year. The 29-year-old is projected to make his next start at home versus the Twins.

Imanaga (4-2) earned the win against the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three over five scoreless innings.

Imanaga didn't show much rust in his return from the injured list, throwing 49 of 77 pitches for strikes while giving up just two hard-hit balls. Through nine starts this season, the southpaw has allowed two earned runs or fewer seven times while surrendering five in his other two outings. He'll carry a 2.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 37:15 K:BB across 49.2 innings into a home matchup with the Guardians next week.

Doyle went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Doyle has hit safely in four of his last five games, going 5-for-20 (.250) with three extra-base hits in that span. The homer was his first since May 27 versus the Cubs and his first at home since April 30 against Atlanta. Doyle has remained under the Mendoza Line since June 16 against the Nationals, and overall he's currently sporting a .195/.251/.318 slash line with six homers, 26 RBI, 27 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 68 contests. Doyle's struggles have opened the door for Sam Hilliard to get some looks in center field, but Doyle remains the starter for now.

Gomber allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out one over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Thursday.

Gomber rebounded from a nine-run meltdown versus Arizona last Friday to turn in his second strong outing in three starts since recovering from a shoulder injury. The southpaw has allowed 10 runs in total over 14.2 innings this season, but his numbers are inflated by the poor start. He's added a 5:3 K:BB and remains in search of his first win. Gomber's never been particularly strong in the strikeout department, and playing for the worst team in the majors will make wins tough to come by this year. His next start is projected to be another tough matchup at home versus the Astros.

Palencia earned the save in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals, allowing one hit while striking out three in a scoreless ninth inning.

Palencia was summoned to protect a three-run lead and worked around a double and a hit batter by striking out the next three hitters to close things out. Through eight June appearances, the 26-year-old has converted all three of his save chances while allowing two earned runs and posting an 11:1 K:BB. He's 8-for-9 in save opportunities this season with a 1.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 33:10 K:BB across 29 innings.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rockies.

Ohtani's bat is heating up again, as he's gone 5-for-14 with three homers and eight RBI over his last four games. A trip to Colorado's thin air to visit the Rockies' poor pitching certainly helps the cause. Ohtani is up to 28 homers on the year, including six over 24 contests in a relatively tame June for the superstar. He's added a .291/.392/.633 slash line, 52 RBI, 80 runs scored, 12 doubles, six triples and 11 stolen bases across 80 games this season. Ohtani will look to keep mashing as the Dodgers begin a three-game road trip in Kansas City, which is also expected to include his next pitching appearance this weekend.

Scott walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rockies.

Scott has six saves and two holds over his last eight appearances, a span in which he's allowed two runs (one earned) over 8.1 innings. The walk he issued Thursday was just the fifth he's permitted all season, but he was able to erase the mistake with a game-ending double play. Scott is at a 3.55 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 41 strikeouts over 38 innings while adding 17 saves, seven holds and five blown saves while working as Los Angeles' main closing option.

Kershaw (4-0) allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings to earn the win Thursday over the Rockies.

Kershaw opened his season with four straight no-decisions and has followed that up with four consecutive wins. During the winning streak, he's allowed a total of four runs over 23 innings while posting a 21:4 K:BB. The southpaw is at a 3.03 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB over 38.2 innings through eight starts this season. Kershaw is in line for another favorable matchup next week, when he's projected for a home start versus the White Sox.

The Pirates designated Stratton for assignment Thursday.

Stratton lost his spot in Pittsburgh's bullpen Tuesday, and he'll now be pushed off the 40-man roster entirely to create room for Genesis Cabrera, who inked an MLB deal with the Pirates on Thursday. Stratton owns a 4.30 ERA through 52.1 career innings in the majors and carries a 3.91 ERA in Triple-A this year, so he could still land with another team via waivers.
