Arraez (cramps) will start at second base and bat leadoff Sunday against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The 29-year-old was scratched from the starting nine ahead of Saturday's 6-5 loss after experiencing cramps during pregame warmups -- which first forced him to exit Friday's contest -- but he'll rejoin the lineup Sunday. Arraez batted .316 over 24 games in July, though he didn't provide much pop with just five extra-base hits and a .367 slugging percentage, which is down from .446 for the campaign. The 29-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent this winter and could be moved ahead of Monday's trade deadline.

The Marlins scratched Marsee from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets due to back spasms, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Miami will treat the center fielder as day-to-day heading into its three-game series in Atlanta that begins Tuesday. Esteury Ruiz will draw the start Sunday in place of Marsee.

Tatis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Gavin Sheets will pick up the start in right field in place of Tatis, who appears to be receiving a planned day off. Tatis had started every contest dating back to June 22, posting a .280/.364/.483 slash line with six home runs, eight steals, 24 runs and 23 RBI over that 35-game stretch.

The Nationals scratched Garcia from the lineup for Sunday's game in Atlanta.

Garcia exited Friday's 6-2 loss due to a sore right knee before returning to the starting nine Saturday and going 1-for-4 with a double in a 8-3 loss. Per Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic, the Nationals haven't indicated that Garcia has dealt with any setback with his knee, and the 26-year-old will be available off the bench Sunday. With that in mind, Garcia is presumably just being held out of the starting nine as a precaution since his name has popped up in trade rumors as Monday's deadline approaches. Andres Chaparro will pick up the start at first base Sunday and will bat ninth.

King is no longer scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Giants and will instead make his next turn through the rotation Monday in Arizona.

San Diego will have Kyle Hart serve as its opening pitcher in a bullpen game during Sunday's series finale. The Padres didn't provide an explanation behind the late change, but the decision to scratch King adds fuel to the notion that he could be moved ahead of Monday's trade deadline. If the right-hander ends up staying put, he'll tentatively line up for a two-start week, with his second outing coming next weekend at home versus the Astros.

The Pirates optioned Mattson to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

The right-hander was just called up Saturday and will return to Indianapolis without making an appearance. Mattson has been inconsistent across 36 big-league outings this year with a 4.93 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 33:16 K:BB over 34.2 innings.

Waldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Waldschmidt will head to the bench for the series finale after starting in Arizona's last two games and four of the last five. Tim Tawa will cover center field in Waldschmidt's stead and will bat seventh.

The Pirates optioned Cook to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

The 27-year-old will lose his place on the active roster to Spencer Horwitz (concussion), who was activated from the injured list Sunday. Cook hasn't taken advantage of his chances in the big leagues this year and has a .200/.200/.267 slash line with 18 strikeouts in 45 plate appearances.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

The 31-year-old started Atlanta's last two matchups versus right-handed pitching and went 2-for-6 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and three runs, but he'll retreat to the bench Sunday against righty Cade Cavalli. Smith looks like he'll have to settle for a part-time role at designated hitter versus righties while Mike Yastrzemski and Ronald Acuna both see more time at that spot following their recent returns from the injured list.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

The Rockies will go with Brett Sullivan behind the plate and Jake McCarthy at designated hitter while Goodman gets a rest, and the trade deadline looms. Goodman had started all but one of the first 13 games coming out of the All-Star break, slashing .289/.360/.711 with six home runs, 14 RBI and seven runs over that stretch.
