Alvarado (back) allowed one hit and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning Thursday against the Cubs. He struck out one.

The hard-throwing left-hander exited Tuesday's meeting with the Cubs due to mid-back spasms, but he needed just one day off to recover and get back on the mound. Although Alvarado has a pitiful 8.64 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB through 8.1 innings, his usage in the ninth frame of a 7-7 game suggests he's right in the mix for save opportunities for at least the next week of action while Jhoan Duran (oblique) is on the 15-day injured list.

Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Thursday's 10-8 win over Colorado.

Although he got off to a dreadful 4-for-32 start over his first eight games of 2026, the veteran shortstop has been producing at a high level ever since. Over his last 68 trips to the plate (16 contests), Bogaerts is slashing .379/.471/.603 with four long balls, one double and two stolen bases to push his OPS for the year up to a .810.

Vodnik (0-2) blew the save and took the loss Thursday against the Padres, allowing five runs on four hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two.

Summoned to protect an 8-5 lead in the ninth inning, Vodnik put forth his worst effort of the season so far. The right-hander gave up a season-high five runs and four knocks in what was his shortest appearance of 2026. Vodnik has a troublesome 7.59 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB over 10.2 innings as Colorado's closer, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Rockies turned to someone like Jaden Hill or Seth Halvorsen the next time a save chance presents itself.

Miller picked up the save Thursday against the Rockies, allowing one hit and no walks with no strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

It was the first time in 12 outings this year that Miller was unable to fan a batter, but he still has a remarkable 19.7 K/9. Other than that blemish, the hard-throwing right-hander continues to be nearly untouchable. Miller, who's now up to an MLB-high nine saves in 2026, hasn't given up a run since Aug. 5 of last year, firing 33.2 consecutive scoreless frames in the regular season to tie Cla Meredith's franchise record.

Moniak went 4-for-5 with a two solo home runs and an additional run scored in Thursday's 10-8 loss to San Diego.

Moniak delivered the fifth game of his career with multiple homers and his third career outing with at least four hits. The veteran outfielder is swinging a hot bat over his eight-game hitting streak, during which Moniak has gone 13-for-31 (.419) with eight extra-base hits, six RBI and one stolen base. For the season, he has a 1.097 OPS in 72 plate appearances.

Scott picked up the save Thursday against the Giants, throwing a clean ninth inning with no strikeouts.

With Edwin Diaz out for multiple months due to elbow surgery, Scott nailed down his first save of the season Thursday. The expectation is that both Scott and Alex Vesia, the latter of whom has yet to give up an earned run while notching two saves through 8.2 frames, will share save opportunities for the Dodgers while Diaz is on the mend. Scott has been superb so far in his own right, posting a 0.84 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB across 10.2 innings.

Glasnow (3-0) earned the win Thursday against the Giants, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk in eight innings. He struck out nine.

The star right-hander almost completely shut down the San Francisco bats Thursday, allowing just a pair of baserunners on the afternoon. Glasnow matched a season high in punchouts and also registered an impressive 16 whiffs, firing a season-high 105 pitches in his longest outing of 2026 so far. Glasnow is off to a phenomenal start, sporting a 2.45 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB over 33 frames, and he's next set for a favorable home matchup versus Miami.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Thursday that Locklear (elbow) is taking live at-bats and "trending in a positive direction," Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Lovullo said the club may take another image of Locklear's elbow to ensure there are no setbacks as he takes the next steps in his rehab from elbow and shoulder surgeries. A rehab assignment will certainly take place, at which point, the team will get a better idea of his return timeline.

Soroka took a no-decision Thursday against the White Sox, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out six.

With a favorable home matchup versus the lowly White Sox, Soroka built on his excellent start to the season. The right-hander has now worked at least five innings while giving up two runs or fewer in all but one of his first five outings. While Soroka boasts a 2.60 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 34:7 K:BB over his first 27.2 frames, he's lined up for a tough test his next time out in Milwaukee.

Webb (2-3) took the loss Thursday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out five.

The All-Star right-hander hardly deserved the loss Thursday, turning in his fourth quality start in his past five outings. Despite the consistent length he's provided, Webb has given up fewer than three runs on just one occasion so far this year. He'll be aiming for better run prevention in his next scheduled appearance in Philadelphia, where Webb will carry a shaky 4.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 37 frames in 2026.
