Winn is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Philadelphia.

It's his second straight day out of the lineup, though he did appear in Thursday's contest in Cincinnati off the bench. Winn looked to have some discomfort in his hand on a swing during his final plate appearance Wednesday, so his second consecutive absence from the lineup could be related to that. JJ Wetherholt will cover shortstop, and Bryan Torres will play second base for the Cardinals in Friday's series opener.

Burleson is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest in Philadelphia.

The left-handed hitter had started each of the previous 15 games, so he's earned a day of rest as the Phillies send southpaw Jesus Luzardo to the bump. Blaze Jordan will slide over to first base in place of Burleson, and Jose Fermin will cover third base for the Cardinals.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy indicated that Frelick (shoulder) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday or Saturday but added, "I think you'll see him very soon," Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Perhaps not coincidentally, the Brewers are slated to face left-handers Friday and Saturday before taking on a righty in Tyler Mahle on Sunday, which could be the day the lefty-swinging Frelick returns. Out since mid-July with a right shoulder strain, Frelick has gone 9-for-32 with two home runs and a 5:5 BB:K in nine rehab games with Triple-A Nashville.

The Marlins selected Driscoll's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Driscoll was acquired from the Rays in exchange for cash earlier this week, and he's now joining the big-league roster. The Marlins are already carrying three catchers on their active roster, so the corresponding roster move will likely involve another backstop. Driscoll has slashed .250/.343/.368 with three home runs in 43 games with Triple-A Durham this season.

Seymour allowed one hit while striking out two in one scoreless inning during Thursday's 5-2 loss to Cleveland.

Seymour collected his third straight scoreless outing Thursday, throwing 11 of his 14 pitches for strikes. Across seven appearances with the Giants this season, the 27-year-old owns a 5.79 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 14 innings.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Guardians.

After tallying three hits in his return from a four-game absence Wednesday, Adames hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning of Thursday's matchup. The veteran shortstop has recorded at least one hit in each of his last four appearances and is batting .261 with five RBI, four runs scored, two home runs and a stolen base in 53 plate appearances this month. On the year, he's slashing .229/.288/.421 with 60 runs scored, 50 RBI, 20 long balls and five stolen bases across 493 PAs.

Jarvis is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Milwaukee.

Jarvis' playing time has been uneven lately, as this will be his third time on the bench in the last four contests, and two of them have come versus righties. The rookie infielder is just 3-for-35 at the plate in August, and Mauricio Dubon might be the preferred option at shortstop moving forward if Jarvis is unable to right the ship.

Triple-A Memphis placed Henderson on the 60-day injured list Wednesday due to a left elbow strain, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The left-hander was reinstated from the 60-day IL on Aug. 9 after missing the first three months of the season due to a flexor strain, but he's down with another arm injury after making just one start for Memphis. Henderson posted a 2.59 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 134:51 K:BB across 132 innings at Double-A Springfield last year, but he's had a lost 2026 season. The severity of his current injury is unclear as he continues to be evaluated.

Stone (shoulder) struck out five and allowed no hits and no walks over three shutout innings Thursday in a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The 27-year-old righty faced just one batter over the minimum, with a first-inning error by first baseman Ryan Ward denying him a perfect outing. Stone hasn't made an appearance for the Dodgers since 2024, undergoing shoulder surgery in October of that year and then experiencing a setback this spring, but he's putting himself in position to help the big club in some capacity down the stretch. He's started all three of his rehab appearances and has posted a magnificent 2.35 ERA, 0.52 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB over 7.2 innings. While the Dodgers may not have a spot available for him in the rotation, Stone could offer value in a multi-inning relief role.

Lopez (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Lopez is working his way back from left knee inflammation, which has kept him out for all of August. The veteran right-hander's last six appearances for Atlanta were as a starting pitcher, but he could be used as a reliever upon his return. If that happens, it might shorten his rehab assignment.
