Freeman went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Freeman has been trending up lately, batting first or second in six of the Rockies' last seven games. He was atop the lineup Saturday, swapping places with Jordan Beck against Arizona right-hander Merrill Kelly. Freeman has hit safely in 17 of 19 games in June, going 23-for-56 (.411) with an 8:2 BB:K this month. Overall, he's at a .326/.417/.442 slash line with one home run, 10 RBI, 17 runs scored and seven steals on 10 attempts through 115 plate appearances.

Beck went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Beck was responsible for both of the Rockies' scoring plays in this contest. He gave them a 2-1 lead with his first-inning homer, and while he grounded into a double play in the third, it led to the Rockies scoring their third run. The outfielder has hit safely in five of his last six games, going 6-for-25 (.240) with five extra-base hits and six RBI in that span. For the season, he's at a .261/.319/.477 slash line with 10 homers, 26 RBI, 36 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 66 games. His 28.1 percent strikeout rate is still a limiting factor, but Beck has made significant gains after posting a .521 OPS in 55 contests as a rookie in 2024.

Palmquist allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings in a no-decision Saturday versus the Diamondbacks.

Palmquist gave up a run in each of the first three innings, including a solo home run to Eugenio Suarez in the third. Palmquist has completed five innings just once in seven outings, and he was pulled at 62 pitches (39 strikes) in this start. Overall, he has a poor 7.63 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 22:18 K:BB over 30.2 innings. He's still in search of his first major-league win, and he'll need to be more efficient, especially in cutting back the free passes, to get a realistic shot at a victory. Palmquist is not guaranteed another turn through the rotation if Kyle Freeland (back) is ready to return from the injured list when first eligible Friday.

Marte went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Marte has gone 10-for-15 over his last three contests, adding seven RBI in that span. The second baseman is clearly taking advantage of this weekend's series in Colorado, especially since he's had momentum all month -- he's batting .371 (26-for-70) with 10 extra-base hits over 18 games in June. Marte is now hitting .311 on the year, the first time he's been over .300 since May 5. He has a 1.007 OPS and has added 13 home runs, 30 RBI, 43 runs scored, 11 doubles and two stolen bases over 50 games.

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Perdomo's fifth-inning long ball provided the Diamondbacks' margin of victory. The shortstop had gone just 2-for-22 (.901) with two walks and four strikeouts over his previous five games. Perdomo hit .309 in May, but he's batting just .183 (13-for-71) in June. He's posted a .260/.355/.414 slash line with eight homers, 51 RBI, 39 runs scored and 11 stolen bases over 75 contests this season.

Suarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second RBI in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Suarez has been particularly strong at the plate lately, going deep nine times in his last 13 games. He's batting .353 (18-for-51) with 21 RBI in that span. Suarez is one of four players in the majors to reach the 25-homer mark through Saturday's action, and he's added an .892 OPS with 67 RBI, 48 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 76 contests. He's on pace to reach the 40-homer mark for the second time, and matching his career high of 49 long balls from 2019 is within the reasonable range of possibilities.

Miller struck out three and allowed one hit over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Miller has posted back-to-back scoreless outings after a two-homer meltdown Tuesday in Toronto. The right-hander looks to be the last man standing in the closer competition for Arizona, as both Justin Martinez (elbow) and A.J. Puk (elbow) are out for the year. Saturday's game featured what could be an ideal bullpen progression for the Diamondbacks, with Ryan Thompson in the seventh inning and Jalen Beeks in the eighth before Miller closed it out. Miller has eight saves, eight holds and four blown saves while posting a 2.03 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB over 31 innings this season.

Kelly (7-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win Saturday over the Rockies.

Kelly turned in his third quality start in four outings this month, and it was enough for his second win in that span. He gave up a two-run home run to Jordan Beck in the first inning, but Kelly was able to settle in pretty well after that. The veteran right-hander has allowed three runs or less in 12 of 16 starts, good for a 3.39 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 93:25 K:BB over 93 innings this season. He's lined up for a favorable home start versus the Marlins when he next takes the mound.

Burns is expected to be called up from Triple-A Louisville to start Tuesday against the Yankees in Cincinnati, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Burns, whom the Reds drafted second overall in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, quickly ascended through Cincinnati's farm system after starting the season with High-A Dayton. He's dominated across three levels and has generated a 1.77 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 89:13 K:BB across 66 innings. Burns will take the spot in the Reds' rotation vacated by Wade Miley (forearm), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday.

Harper (wrist) progressed to throwing soft toss ahead of Saturday's game against the Mets, MLB.com reports.

Harper continues to gradually ramp up his baseball activity amid his recovery from right wrist inflammation, as his absence has now extended beyond two weeks. There remains no clear timetable for his return to the field, and it's unclear if the Phillies will send him on a brief minor-league rehab assignment or simply reinstate him from the injured list once the superstar first baseman is deemed ready for game action. In the meantime, Alec Bohm and Otto Kemp should continue to split the reps at the cold corner.
