White is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

White went 2-for-5 while starting both of Atlanta's last two games in left field, but he'll give way to Alex Verdugo on Wednesday. Both White and Verdugo are likely to see their opportunities dwindle beginning July 2, when Jurickson Profar will be eligible to return after serving an 80-game suspension.

Hoskins is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Hoskins has struggled in his last 11 starts, going 3-for-34 (.088) with one home run, two RBI and a 41.0 percent strikeout rate over that span. He'll begin Wednesday's game on the bench while Jake Bauers starts at first base and bats eighth.

Heaney and the Pirates won't play the Tigers on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Detroit.

The game will be made up Thursday as part of a split doubleheader. Heaney is slated to start the first game of the day, while Paul Skenes will remain on turn to start the second contest, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic.

Nootbaar is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the White Sox.

Nootbaar was out of the lineup Saturday and Sunday in Milwaukee as he battles through a slump at the plate. He returned to action Tuesday, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, and now finds himself back on the bench Wednesday. The Cardinals will turn to Brendan Donovan in left field and Nolan Gorman at second base.

Frazier is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

The lefty-hitting Frazier had started in seven of the Pirates' previous eight games, but he'll be shielded Wednesday from arguably the game's top lefty in Tarik Skubal. Tommy Pham will replace Frazier in left field and bat eighth.

Davis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Davis' brief run as the Pirates' No. 1 backstop appears to have come to an end after Pittsburgh activated Joey Bart from the 7-day injured list Tuesday. Bart will make his second straight start behind the plate Wednesday, while Davis takes a seat for the third game in a row after he had previously received a breather in Sunday's loss to the Cubs before Bart was activated.

Horwitz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

The left-handed-hitting Horwitz will exit the lineup for just the second time in nine games while the Pirates face off against reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal. Platoon mate Jared Triolo will step in at first base in place of Horwitz, who is batting .228 with one home run, seven RBI and nine runs through his first 26 games with the Pirates.

Cruz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

The Tigers are sending a tough lefty (Tarik Skubal) to the hill Wednesday, so Pirates manager Don Kelly likely determined it was an optimal time to give the left-handed-hitting Cruz just his second day off in the team's last 26 games. The Pirates called up Billy Cook from Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, and he'll step into the lineup right away as Cruz's replacement in center field.

Alvarez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Atlanta.

Luis Torrens will do the catching and bat sixth as the Mets try to even the series. Alvarez went hitless in Tuesday's game and is 1-for-14 over his last four tilts.

Baty (groin) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Atlanta.

With lefty Chris Sale toeing the rubber for Atlanta, there's a good chance the left-handed-hitting Baty would have been out of the lineup even if he wasn't dealing with right groin tightness. The bigger test for his availability figures to come Thursday, when righty Spencer Strider starts for Atlanta in the series finale. The Mets are going with Jeff McNeil at second base and Ronny Mauricio at third base Wednesday.
