Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Mets' Jesse Winker: Likely headed to IL
Winker (side) is expected to be placed on the injured list, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Winker suffered a right side injury in the Mets' Game 1 loss to St. Louis on Sunday, and he will require additional testing back in New York. The outfielder may be dealing with an oblique issue, which typically leads to a stint on the injured list. In his absence, Starling Marte stands to see more usage at designated hitter with the Mets.

Kyle Harrison SP | MIL
Giants' Kyle Harrison: Rejoining big club
The Giants recalled Harrison from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Harrison will join the major-league roster for the first time in 2025 after posting a 3.46 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 38 strikeouts over 26 innings in six starts with Sacramento. The right-hander could replace Landen Roupp in the Giants' starting rotation or operate as a bullpen arm with the big club moving forward. In a corresponding move, reliever Lou Trivino was designated for assignment.

Lou Trivino RP | PHI
Giants' Lou Trivino: Dropped from 40-man roster

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Exits early in Game 2
Winn exited Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets in the top of the fifth inning with a left ankle sprain, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Winn twisted his ankle in the bottom of the third inning when he tripped over third base while avoiding a collision with third baseman Mark Vientos. Winn was able to tough it out for another frame but ultimately had to exit the contest, bringing his night to a close after going 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored in the game. Ryne Nelson SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ryne Nelson: Set for start Monday
Nelson will start Monday's game against the Mets in Arizona, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
Nelson will get a turn in the rotation after the Diamondbacks decided to have Corbin Burnes (shoulder) skip a start while dealing with right shoulder inflammation. The right-hander made 25 starts for Arizona in 2024 but has worked exclusively out of the bullpen so far this season, logging a 5.82 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 17 innings in seven appearances. He got stretched out to four innings and tossed a season-high 68 pitches in his most recent relief outing ,ast Tuesday, so Nelson should be able to handle something close to a typical starter's workload Monday.

Shelby Miller RP | CHC
Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Blows save, picks up win
Miller (3-0) blew the save but collected the win in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning victory over the Phillies. He allowed two runs on four hits and no walks with two strikeouts over an inning.
After opening the ninth inning with two straight punchouts, Miller then allowed a 408-foot solo shot to Kyle Schwarber, opening the floodgates. The Phillies then cracked three consecutive singles to score the tying run before Miller induced a Bryson Stott groundout to escape the frame. The Arizona right-hander was the favorite for the closer's role due to Justin Martinez (shoulder) and A.J. Puk (elbow) being on the injured list, but he won't have a long leash considering the Diamondbacks have a talented bullpen with Kevin Ginkel, Ryan Thompson and Jalen Beeks as alternate saves options. Through 14.2 innings, Miller sports a 1.23 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB.
