Dodgers' Wyatt Mills: Up from OKC

The Dodgers recalled Mills from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Mills owns a 2.64 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through 30.2 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City, and he'll now return to the Dodgers to give the big club a fresh bullpen arm, replacing Jonathan Hernandez.

  • Zach Brzykcy RP | MIA

Marlins' Zach Brzykcy: Rejoins big club

The Marlins recalled Brzykcy from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Jacksonville on Friday but will quickly return to the big leagues since Anthony Bender (shin) was placed on the injured list. Bryzkcy hasn't pitched in the majors this season across his two short stints with the Marlins. He has a 3.86 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 32:19 K:BB across 30.1 innings at Triple-A.

  • Anthony Bender RP | MIA

Marlins' Anthony Bender: Placed on injured list

The Marlins placed Bender on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right shin stress reaction.

Bender has given up just one earned run while punching out 16 batters in 10.2 innings this month, but the Marlins will now be without his services through the All-Star break following his move to the injured list. Zach Brzykcy will come up from Triple-A to fill the opening in Miami's bullpen; meanwhile, Michael Petersen, John King and Calvin Faucher are likely to receive an uptick in high-leverage opportunities.

  • Jordan Lawlar LF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Facing 4-to-6-week absence

Manager Torey Lovullo said June 20 that Lawlar will receive further imaging on his strained right hamstring during the All-Star break to gauge his healing, Steve Gilbert MLB.com reports.

Lawlar appears to be facing a 4-to-6-week recovery timeline after he was removed from a June 19 win over the Twins when he strained the hamstring while trying to beat out a bunt single. The 23-year-old had already been shelved for just over two months earlier this season due to a fractured wrist, so the hamstring injury represents yet another major setback on the health front. Lawlar had settled in as the Diamondbacks' everyday center field prior to getting hurt, but Tommy Troy has since stepped in as the main replacement at the position.

  • Graham Pauley 3B | MIA

Marlins' Graham Pauley: Sent down to Jacksonville

The Marlins optioned Pauley to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Pauley went 2-for-6 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored after rejoining the Marlins on Friday, but he'll now be pushed back to the minors to make room for Liam Hicks' (back) return from the injured list. Javier Sanoja figures to receive the majority of starts at third base now that Pauley is back in Jacksonville.

  • Liam Hicks C | TB

Marlins' Liam Hicks: Returns from injured list

The Marlins activated Hicks (back) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

The 27-year-old has been dealing with a lower-back strain but is ready to rejoin the Marlins after spending the 10-day minimum on the shelf. Miami has yet to release its starting nine for Tuesday's contest, but Hicks should immediately reclaim a prominent spot in the lineup.

  • Brandon Pfaadt SP | ARI

    Diamondbacks' Brandon Pfaadt: Officially promoted

The Diamondbacks recalled Pfaadt from Triple-A Reno ahead of his start Tuesday against the Giants.

Pfaadt owns a 5.92 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through 38 innings in the majors this season, but he's given up just three runs (two earned) in 10 frames since being sent down to Reno on June 4. He'll now rejoin Arizona's rotation and make his first start since April 11 against a Giants offense that's turned in a .686 OPS across its last 10 games. Juan Burgos was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • Reds' Graham Ashcraft: Will resume throwing soon

Ashcraft is expected to resume throwing soon after receiving good news Tuesday regarding the imaging on his injured right elbow UCL, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Ashcraft landed on the 60-day injured list in late May with a UCL sprain, but a platelet-rich plasma injection earlier this month seems to have helped the ligament heal. It will take time for Ashcraft to be built back up, and there is a real possibility of a setback when the UCL is involved. However, Tuesday's news gives him a chance to return at some point during the second half.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Pirates' Brandon Lowe: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the

Lowe posted a .690 OPS and 29.2 percent strikeout rate while starting the previous 19 games, but he'll hit the bench Tuesday with ace lefty Cristopher Sanchez pitching for Philadelphia. Nick Gonzales will shift to second base while Jared Triolo receives a start at the hot corner.

  • Juan Burgos RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: Optioned to Reno

The Diamondbacks optioned Burgos to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Burgos gave up one run in 1.1 innings during his lone appearance since joining the big club Thursday. He'll now head back to Triple-A in order to make room on the active roster for Brandon Pfaadt, who is set to start Tuesday's game against San Francisco.
