The Rockies announced Monday that Thomas hasn't been participating in spring training while he recovers from offseason surgery to address a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist, TheDNVR.com reports.

The report doesn't provide any specifics regarding when Thomas had his surgery, making it difficult to project when he might be ready for game action. One of the top prospects in the Colorado organization, the 22-year-old outfielder split time between High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford in 2025 and slashed .300/.398/.452 with 14 home runs and 33 stolen bases over 533 plate appearances.

The Rockies announced Monday that Castillo is dealing with right lat tightness and has been shut down from throwing while undergoing treatment for the injury, TheDNVR.com reports.

Castillo received an invitation to big-league spring training, but the lat injury will likely end his longshot bid to win a spot on the Rockies' Opening Day bullpen. The 25-year-old righty split the 2025 campaign between Triple-A Albuquerque and Double-A Hartford, posting a 2.94 ERA and 64:27 K:BB in 52 innings.

The Rockies announced Monday that Brown is day-to-day due to right shoulder inflammation, TheDNVR.com reports.

Colorado hasn't shut Brown down from throwing while he's been managing the shoulder issue, so the 25-year-old still appears on track to be ready to go for the start of the season. Brown reached the big leagues for the first time in 2025 but struggled in his seven starts with Colorado, submitting a 7.36 ERA and 1.83 WHIP in 25.2 innings. He could be ticketed for the Triple-A Albuquerque rotation to begin the 2026 campaign after Colorado brought aboard three veteran starters (Michael Lorenzen, Jose Quintana and Tomoyuki Sugano) over the winter.

Scott (lower body) is expected to make his first Cactus League appearance Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks or Thursday versus the White Sox, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Scott was one of the Dodgers' most trusted high-leverage relievers during the 2025 regular season, notching 23 saves in 33 chances and eight holds while posting a 4.74 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 57 innings. However, Scott didn't end up pitching at all during the Dodgers' postseason run, as he went unused in the NLDS and then was deactivated for the NLCS and World Series after requiring a lower-body abscess procedure in early October. Though Scott is now back to full health, he's unlikely to be in line for many save chances in 2026 after the Dodgers inked three-time All-Star Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million deal over the winter.

Rom (undisclosed) is scheduled to make a relief appearance in Monday's Cactus League game against the Padres, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 26-year-old lefty appears to be healthy again after having his past two seasons wiped out by injury. He didn't pitch at all in 2024 while recovering from shoulder surgery, then made just seven appearances in the minors in 2025 before being shut down in June with an unspecified injury. Rom signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers over the winter and will likely be ticketed for the rotation at Triple-A Nashville to open the 2026 season.

Drake (shoulder) struck out two and allowed an earned run on no hits and two walks over two innings in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Angels in Cactus League play.

Drake missed the final month of the 2025 campaign due to a left shoulder strain, but he appears to have had a normal offseason and was cleared to start the Diamondbacks' third game of the Cactus League slate. Arizona protected Drake from the Rule 5 Draft over the winter and added him to the 40-man roster, potentially setting the stage for him to make his MLB debut at some point later this season. He's expected to open the season in the rotation at Triple-A Reno.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Woodruff (lat) will throw a live batting practice session Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

He will throw an additional couple live BP sessions after Monday before progressing to Cactus League outings. Woodruff is considered healthy, but the Brewers are slow-playing him this spring after his 2025 season ended due to a right lat strain. The veteran hurler held a 3.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 83:14 K:BB in 64.2 innings last season after making it back from shoulder surgery and returned to Milwaukee when he accepted the team's one-year, $22.025 million qualifying offer in November.

Roycroft worked this offseason at Premier Pitching Performance in the St. Louis area to return his arm angle to what it was in 2024, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Roycroft's arm angle dropped four degrees in 2025, per Baseball Savant, which the reliever believes was the main cause of his struggles (7.84 ERA in 20 appearances). The 6-foot-8 righty's arm angle was higher during a scoreless appearance Sunday versus the Astros in Grapefruit League play. Roycroft is competing for a middle relief role in the St. Louis bullpen.

Freeman (back) has progressed to on-field workouts, Thomas Harding of MLB.comreports.

Freeman is being eased into things this spring after reporting to Rockies camp with a lower-back strain. It's not clear when the utility player might be ready to play in Cactus League contests, but Freeman should have time to ramp up for Opening Day as long as he can avoid setbacks.

The Rockies announced Monday that Freeland has been slowed by mid-back spasms during camp, but the veteran southpaw is slated to throw this week, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The back issue will end up delaying Freeland's entry into the Rockies' spring pitching schedule, but assuming he can avoid any setbacks while ramping up his throwing, he should be fully stretched out by the start of the regular season. Freeland turned in a 4.98 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 124:38 K:BB in 162.2 innings over his 31 starts with the Rockies in 2025.
