Moniak went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, an additional RBI and three total runs scored in Thursday's 14-4 win over the Marlins.

After coming up a single shy of a cycle Wednesday, Moniak was a triple away from the feat in another three-hit game Thursday. The outfielder now has three homers and six extra-base hits in his last three games after going just 2-for-32 in his prior 12 contests. Overall, Moniak is slashing .280/.330/.621 with 15 homers, 37 RBI, 28 runs scored and one steal across 197 plate appearances this season.

Lorenzen did not factor into the decision in Thursday's win over the Marlins, allowing four runs on four hits and six walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out one.

Lorenzen couldn't find his command Thursday, as he issued a season-high six walks while throwing just 46 of his 95 pitches for strikes. Coming into the day, Lorenzen had pitched to a respectable 3.43 ERA in his previous four outings (21 innings), striking out 18 while issuing just four walks in that span. Overall, the veteran right-hander is 3-9 with a 6.91 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 67:32 K:BB across 86 innings this season. Lorenzen is currently lined up to face the Dodgers on the road his next time out.

Mikolas has received a five-game suspension Thursday for his actions during the benches-clearing incident Tuesday, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

The benches clearing incident in Sunday's game versus the Nationals got sparked after Cade Cavalli struck out Willson Contreras. On the Nationals' side, Cavalli also received a suspension, but for seven games instead of five. On the Red Sox, Contreras got a seven-game suspension and Nate Eaton received a three-game suspension. Mikolas can appeal the suspension, but as of Thursday he will miss an expected start and not be able to return until July 8.

McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two additional RBI and three total runs scored in Thursday's 14-4 win over the Marlins.

McCarthy put the Rockies ahead for good in the fourth inning with his two-run, 429-foot blast off John King. The homer is McCarthy's seventh of the campaign, one shy of his career high, and his first of the year off a left-handed pitcher. Overall, the outfielder is slashing an impressive .294/.332/.479 with 31 runs scored, 37 RBI and 13 stolen bases across 259 plate appearances this season.

Edman isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Padres, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Edman will get a breather Thursday after going 4-for-8 with a homer, four RBI and two runs scored during Los Angeles' last series against the A's. Alex Freeland will start at second base and bat ninth while Edman sits.

Cavalli received a seven-game suspension Thursday for his actions initiating and during the benches-clearing incident Tuesday versus the Red Sox, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

The benches-clearing incident Tuesday was sparked when Cavalli struck out Willson Contreras. On the Nationals' side, Miles Mikolas also received a five-game ban. For the Red Sox, Contreras received a seven-game suspension and Nate Eaton three games. Unless Cavalli appeals, he won't be able to return until July 11.

Betts (wrist) will start at shortstop and bat fourth Thursday against the Padres, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Betts was a late scratch from the lineup for Wednesday's game due to wrist soreness, but it no longer seems to be bothering him ahead of Thursday's series opener. The 33-year-old is currently enjoying a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 13-for-32 (.406) with three homers, nine RBI and five runs scored.

The Dodgers optioned Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

After giving up seven earned runs in seven bulk-relief innings Wednesday, Barnes will be sent back to Triple-A to make room for a fresh arm in the form of Paul Gervase. The 30-year-old Barnes has now given up 10 runs over 12 innings in the majors this season, but he remains an option to rejoin the big club later in the year to provide length out of the bullpen.

The Dodgers recalled Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Gervase has turned in a 3.60 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 25 innings with Oklahoma City and hasn't given up a run in nine innings across his last seven outings. He'll now return to Los Angeles to give the Dodgers a fresh arm capable of handling multiple innings out of the bullpen, replacing Charlie Barnes.

Misiorowski (9-4) took the loss Thursday against the Reds, allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits across five innings. He struck out 10.

While Misiorowski logged double-digit strikeouts for the seventh time this year, he gave up a season-high five runs (albeit just one was earned) in an eventual 7-2 defeat. Misiorowski surrendered a solo homer to Sal Stewart in the first inning before the Reds tacked on four unearned runs in the fourth, capped by a Jose Trevino three-run shot. Misiorowski still leads all qualified pitchers in ERA (1.47), WHIP (0.78) and strikeouts (156) through 17 starts (104 innings) this season. He'll look to get back in the win column his next time out, currently scheduled to come on the road in St. Louis.
