Webb was removed from Saturday's game against Colorado due to back/shoulder tightness, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Webb needed just 80 pitches to make it through six innings Saturday, giving up one run on four hits and zero walks while punching out seven batters. However, he began to feel tightness around his shoulder after getting struck by a comebacker in the fifth inning, so the Giants took him out of the game as a precaution. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next start in Boston next week, but the team will likely monitor his injury over the next few days before confirming his availability.

Boyd (8-2) took the loss Saturday as the Cubs fell 8-4 to the Cardinals, coughing up seven runs on five hits -- including four home runs -- and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

It's the first time since 2019 that Boyd has served up four homers in the same game, and three of them came off the bat of rookie Joshua Baez, who became the first player in MLB history to go yard in his first three plate appearances. This also marks the first time since June 30 that Boyd has failed to complete six innings, and since the beginning of July he's produced a 3.33 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 31:16 K:BB over 51.1 innings. Incredibly, the loss was his first since Opening Day. Boyd will try to shake this one off in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Seattle.

Burleson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Cubs.

The 27-year-old slugger capped the scoring for the Cardinals with a solo shot off Collin Rea in the eighth inning. While his performance was overshadowed by Joshua Baez's history-making three-homer day in his MLB debut, Burleson achieved a milestone of his own, becoming the first player in the majors this season with 30 doubles and 20 homers. Over 13 games in August, Burleson is batting .311 (14-for-45) with five long balls, 11 runs and 15 RBI.

Baez went 3-for-4 with three home runs and five RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Cubs.

Making his big-league debut at storied Wrigley Field, Baez did something no other player in MLB history had ever done, homering in his first three trips to the plate. All three long balls came off Matthew Boyd, with the first being a massive 449-foot blast to center field on the very first pitch Baez saw, and the three homers combined traveled 1,199 feet. The 23-year-old outfielder earned his promotion Saturday by launching 34 home runs in 79 Triple-A games this season, and it doesn't look like he's going to have much trouble translating that power to the top level of baseball.

McGreevy (5-9) picked up the win over the Cubs on Saturday, allowing three unearned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

A two-out error by Blaze Jordan in the second inning eventually led to a three-run homer by Michael Conforto, but McGreevy shook it off and delivered his 14th quality start of the season on 102 pitches (61 strikes). The 26-year-old righty has been showing signs of fatigue since the All-Star break, however -- he's worked a career-high 132 innings this season, and over six starts since the break he's managed a 5.04 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 25:11 K:BB in 30.1 innings. McGreevy will look to build on this performance in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Cincinnati.

Turang (knee) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Turang will miss a third consecutive start Saturday while battling discomfort in his left knee. He's scheduled to participate in fielding drills before the game, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and there's a chance Turang could be cleared to return for Sunday's series finale if things go well. In the meantime, new arrival Jonathan Ornelas will start at the keystone and bat ninth.

Gonzales (face) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Gonzales will begin Saturday's contest on the bench after taking a pitch off his head Friday, but the team confirmed before the game that he's been cleared for activity and will be available to play if needed, per Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jared Triolo steps in at third base, batting ninth.

Rengifo isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland.

Rengifo has notched four hits -- including a grand slam -- across his last three games but will retreat to the bench to begin Saturday's contest. Austin Hays will take over in left field and bat seventh.

Sanoja isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Sanoja previously held an eight-game hitting streak, but he'll now move to the bench after going 0-for-6 across his last two games. Graham Pauley will fill in as Miami's third baseman and bat eighth.

The Brewers designated Bae for assignment Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Bae will give up his spot on the active and 40-man rosters for Jonathan Ornelas, who was acquired from the Athletics on Saturday. Bae went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a steal during his time with Milwaukee and will likely spend the remainder of the season in the minors if he clears waivers.
