The Cubs optioned Hollowell to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday.

Hollowell was with the big club for a week and allowed two runs with a 2:5 BB:K over 3.2 innings. He's being replaced on the active roster by Jayden Murray.

Reds manager Terry Francona said that Greene (elbow) is slated to throw around 75 pitches during a rehab start with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Jaron May of WLWT Cincinnati reports.

Greene threw 54 pitches over four scoreless innings in his first rehab start last week in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, and he will continue to build up his stamina as he moves up to the Reds' top minor-league affiliate. Francona noted Tuesday that there remains no target date for Greene's return to the big-league rotation, as it depends on how the hurler's body responds. However, with Greene slated to get his pitch count up to 75, his season debut is likely right around the corner.

Gorman has been assigned to Triple-A Memphis after spending the past week at the Cardinals' spring training complex in Florida to rework his swing, Jim Hayes of Cardinals.TV reports.

Gorman worked with hitting director Dalton Hurd and minor-league hitting coordinator Brock Hammit on a flatter attack angle with his swing. The hope is that it will allow Gorman -- who is hitting .194/.279/.318 with a 32.3 percent strikeout rate this season -- to make more contact, and he is ready to test things out with the Cardinals' top minor-league affiliate.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Robert "looked normal" while taking a full session of batting practice in the cages Tuesday, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports.

Mendoza added that Robert is now "symptom-free pretty much" and the next step will be to ramp up his running progression. Robert has been sidelined since late April with a lumbar spine disc herniation, but his back has responded well to a series of injections. There remains no timetable for his return to the active roster, but Robert seem to have finally turned a corner.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Scott (hip) is expected to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start this weekend against the Phillies, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

The right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated from the injured list Saturday, so his stay on the shelf due to a hip impingement will end up being a brief one. Scott threw a simulated game Monday and wil re-enter the Mets' starting rotation without a minor-league rehab assignment.

Meyer (bereavement) is expected to start Friday in St. Louis, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Meyer was placed on the bereavement list Monday, but it will not cost him a turn in the Marlins' rotation, as he'll be taking the ball on five days' rest Friday. The righty has had a breakout season in Miami, going 8-0 while collecting a 2.80 ERA and 102:34 K:BB over 90 innings covering 16 starts.

Perez (gracilis) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game versus the Rangers, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Manager Clayton McCullough indicated Monday that Perez would return from the IL on Wednesday as long as the right-hander bounced back from a pitch-design session without incident, and that appears to have come to pass. Perez's absence due to a right gracilis muscle strain lasted four weeks, which is half of the initial projected timetable laid out by McCullough when the 23-year-old initially landed on the shelf May 29. He threw 51 pitches in his lone rehab start, so Perez's workload may be limited Wednesday.

Church is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Diamondbacks.

The lefty-swinging Church will exit the lineup while the Diamondbacks go with southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump. Lars Nootbaar is shifting over to center field for the Cardinals, and Nelson Velazquez will grab a start in left field.

Burleson is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Diamondbacks.

With southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez toeing the rubber for Arizona, the left-handed-hitting Burleson will receive a rare day off. Blaze Jordan will move to first base, and Jose Fermin is getting a start at third base for the Cardinals.

Jones had additional imaging on his right elbow come back clean and played catch Tuesday, though manager Don Kelly indicated it's too early to know if the right-hander will be ready for his next turn through the rotation, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Jones departed his start Sunday against the Rockies after being struck in the right elbow by a comebacker, and he's now had multiple rounds of medical imaging return negative. Those results are encouraging, but the 24-year-old's availability will likely depend on how he responds to his between-starts bullpen session, which should be scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday.
