Joey Wentz SP | ATL
Braves' Joey Wentz: Flops in seventh loss
Wentz (5-7) took the loss Friday against Pittsburgh, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out three.
Wentz didn't go out on a high note against a soft Pittsburgh lineup in his final appearance of 2025, working his second-shortest outing since becoming a starter in mid-July. The eight hits represented his second-most allowed of the season, though the southpaw at least managed to toss three scoreless frames around a four-run Pirates second inning. Wentz spent time with three different teams this year, and he'll close the campaign with an uninspiring 5.60 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 92:43 K:BB over 98 frames (13 starts).

Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Cubs' Michael Busch: Launches another home run Friday
Busch went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run, an additional run scored and two RBI in Friday's 12-1 win over the Cardinals.
Busch was one of four Chicago players to go deep as the Cubs routed their rivals from St. Louis. The powerful first baseman has homered six times in his last 13 games, upping his season total to 32 long balls. Busch has tacked on an .844 OPS and 86 RBI in what's been an impressive offensive campaign for the 27-year-old.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Up to 29 homers
Olson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-3 loss to Pittsburgh.
Atlanta may have waited too long to heat up in the win column as it relates to their playoff aspirations, but Olson has certainly been on fire at the dish for fantasy managers. Over his last 234 plate appearances since the beginning of August, the All-Star first baseman is slashing .296/.372/.544 with 27 extra-base hits and 26 RBI. Olson has 94 RBI on the campaign and will likely fall short of his fourth career 100-RBI year, barring a torrid finish in 2025, but his 29 round trippers give him a chance to record his fifth career 30-homer season.

Spencer Horwitz 1B | PIT
Pirates' Spencer Horwitz: Reaches five times with two homers
Horwitz went 3-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, two walks and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-3 win over Atlanta.
It was the second multi-homer game of the year for Horwitz, who piled up at least three RBI for the fifth time this season. The first baseman is heading out on a high note in 2025, slashing a robust .338/.451/.632 with four big flies, eight doubles and 13 RBI across his last 82 trips to the plate (24 games). Horwitz also has career highs in RBI (51), runs scored (54), doubles (26) and walks (43) this year.

Agustin Ramirez C | MIA
Marlins' Agustin Ramirez: Swipes two bags in win
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Friday's 6-2 win over the Mets.
The rookie catcher has showed off his speed during the second half of the season -- he now has five multi-steal games since the start of August. Ramirez has still cooled down considerably at the dish after a torrid start to his major-league career, as he has a .639 OPS since the beginning of July, but he still looks like Miami's backstop for the future. Through 531 at-bats, Ramirez is batting .232 with 21 homers, 33 doubles, 67 RBI and 16 stolen bases.

Tyler Phillips SP | MIA
Marlins' Tyler Phillips: Notches four-out save
Phillips secured the save Friday against the Mets, throwing 1.1 clean innings.
Phillips recorded the final out of the eighth inning to strand the bases loaded, and he ultimately came away his fourth save of the season. The right-hander has been an effective bullpen arm this year, and he'll close out the season in a committee at closer with Calvin Faucher and Lake Bachar. Through 76.2 innings, Phillips has a 2.82 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 52:23 K:BB.

Cade Cavalli SP | WAS
Nationals' Cade Cavalli: Chased early in no-decision
Cavalli did not factor into the decision in Friday's 10-9 loss to the White Sox, allowing six runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over four innings.
Cavalli was tagged for four runs in the first inning, though the Nationals made errors on the first two batters he faced. It was the first time the 27-year-old failed to complete five frames since Aug. 27, but he'll finish the campaign holding opponents to three earned runs or fewer in five straight outings. For the season, he posted a 4.25 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB across 48.2 major-league innings.

Jose Ferrer RP | SEA
Nationals' Jose Ferrer: Blows save, takes loss Friday
Ferrer (4-4) blew the save and took the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits in the ninth inning. He did not record a walk or strikeout.
Ferrer was called upon to close out a late rally but allowed a two-run homer to Colson Montgomery in the ninth inning. After posting 14 straight scoreless appearances from Aug. 6 to Sept. 9, the southpaw has given up seven earned runs over his last five outings. For the season, he has 21 holds and 10 saves with a 4.42 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB across 75.1 innings.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Goes deep three times in loss
Garcia went 3-for-4 with three home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-9 loss to the White Sox.
Garcia did his best to spark a comeback from an early seven-run deficit, slugging three home runs for the first time in his career. The effort was especially encouraging after the 25-year-old had gone just 3-for-32 since his last multi-hit game Sept. 10. On the season, he's slashing .255/.291/.417 with 16 homers, 66 RBI, 66 runs scored and 13 steals across 519 plate appearances.

Sandy Alcantara SP | MIA
Marlins' Sandy Alcantara: Second-half surge continues in win
Alcantara (11-12) earned the win Friday against the Mets, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out three.
It might have been too little too late for the Marlins' playoff aspirations, but Alcanatara really rediscovered his ace form for fantasy managers following the All-Star break. Friday was his eighth quality start in 13 outings since mid-July, a stretch in which the right-hander submitted a 3.33 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 71:20 K:BB across his last 83.2 frames to improve his ERA from 7.22 entering the break to 5.36 to end the year. Although he struggled mightily during the first half, Alcantara's second-half surge certainly raised his stock significantly both in real life and in fantasy ahead of the offseason.
