The Brewers acquired Shewmake from the Astros on Sunday in exchange for cash.

After Houston designated Shewmake for assignment Friday, the Brewers acted quickly to execute a trade for the utility infielder rather than allowing him to reach waivers first. Milwaukee designated Greg Jones for assignment to clear room on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Shewmake, who produced a .256/.272/.423 slash line with three home runs and nine RBI across 83 plate appearances with Houston this season. Though Shewmake projects to serve as a backup at three different infield spots, the Brewers will include him in the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Pittsburgh. He'll start at third base and bat ninth while Cooper Pratt receives a breather.

Meidroth went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI on Saturday against the Athletics.

Meidroth drove in the only run of the contest in the sixth inning with a two-out double. He has a modest four-game hitting streak going and has multiple hits with an RBI in each of his last two contests. Meidroth has shown significant growth during his second year in the majors, improving his batting average to .272 while already matching his total from 2025 with 54 runs scored.

The Red Sox recalled Bello from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

The right-hander was in the mix to be called up for a spot start Saturday, but Boston instead turned to Eduardo Rivera to fill Ranger Suarez's (groin) rotation spot. Bello will still join the big club for the final game before the All-Star break and will be available out of the bullpen, with interim manager Chad Tracy suggesting that the 27-year-old could be called upon to cover multiple innings in relief since starter Payton Tolle will likely be in line for a shorter outing by design Sunday, per Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. Since being optioned to Worcester in early June, the 27-year-old posted a 4.34 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 22:4 K:BB across 18.2 frames in four starts after struggling to a 6.34 ERA in 12 outings for the Red Sox.

Reynolds went 2-for-6 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

Reynolds was overshadowed by Esmerlyn Valdez's three-homer day, but he delivered the game-winning RBI in the sixth inning in the second game of the doubleheader. Reynolds will head into the All-Star break having gone 11-for-39 with three homers, six RBI and nine runs scored across 10 games in July.

Montgomery walked one and struck out two across one inning to earn the save in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

Gregory Soto earned the save in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, so he was unavailable for the latter contest. Montgomery filled the void, allowing only a leadoff walk before retiring the next three batters he faced. Montgomery has had an inconsistent season, though he has turned in six straight appearances without being charged with a run, compiling an 11:2 K:BB across 5.1 innings in that span.

Vierling went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the Tigers' 4-2 loss to the Phillies on Saturday.

Vierling paced Detroit's lineup from the leadoff spot as he matched his season high in hits. Heading into the All-Star break, the veteran utility player has mostly been working as a short-side platoon partner to James Outman in center field, with Vierling facing Philadelphia ace Cristopher Sanchez on Saturday. Vierling's ability to play other positions as well boosts his fantasy value, though his playing time is likely to remain somewhat sporadic in the second half of the year.

Kelly went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 5-3 win against the Reds on Saturday.

Kelly hit his second home run in his last four games in the sixth inning, giving him six long balls on the season. The veteran catcher was making his fourth straight start, with Saturday's appearance coming at DH as Miguel Amaya handled duties behind the plate. Kelly and Amaya have been alternating pretty regularly as Chicago's backstop, limiting the fantasy ceiling of each as long as they're splitting the workload.

Tawa went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Dodgers.

Tawa has posted back-to-back three-hit efforts against the Dodgers' pitching, racking up six RBI in that span. The utility man is getting a run of time at first base; he's a right-handed hitter, but he's started there against two righty starters as well Friday's bullpen game. Tawa is batting .213 with a .647 OPS, two home runs, 14 RBI, eight runs scored, five doubles and two stolen bases over 38 contests in the majors this season.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 5-3 win against the Reds on Saturday.

Bregman made a huge impact with his lone hit, as he launched a two-run homer to left field in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie. That ended up being the decisive knock, as neither team scored for the remainder of the game. Bregman entered Saturday in an 0-for-11, three-game skid, and he's had a subpar first half of the campaign, slashing .236/.333/.345 with eight homers, 43 runs, 37 RBI and two stolen bases through 93 contests.

Arenado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Dodgers.

Arenado has gone deep four times over his last 11 games. He's batting .282 (11-for-39) with six RBI in that span. The third baseman is up to a .243 average, .731 OPS, 12 homers, 39 RBI, 44 runs scored, 16 doubles and three stolen bases over 89 contests this season.
