Schwarber walked and struck out three times in four plate appearances before being ejected in the sixth inning of Monday's game against the Royals, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

After going down swinging for his third strikeout of the afternoon, Schwarber exchanged words with home-plate umpire Alan Porter and was tossed from the contest. The Phillies were down nine runs following the top of the sixth inning, so interim manager Don Mattingly may have looked to pull the slugger from the contest even if he hadn't been ejected. Schwarber still leads the majors with 30 home runs but has been in a bit of a power drought of late, leaving the yard just once in his last 14 games while striking out in 38.2 percent of his plate appearances.

Atlanta placed White on the paternity leave list Monday.

By rule, White will be away for 1-to-3 days while welcoming a new addition to the family. Jose Azocar will absorb White's spot on the active roster.

Pirates manager Don Kelly said that Rodriguez was removed from Sunday's 11-5 win over the Nationals due to a left hip injury, Dominic Campbell of SI.com reports.

Rodriguez singled in the top of the eighth inning before being lifted for a pinch runner. He missed a bit of time in mid-June with left hip discomfort, so Rodriguez could be dealing with an aggravation of that injury. The Pirates are idle Monday but could offer more clarity on Rodriguez's status before Tuesday's series opener against Atlanta. If Rodriguez needs to miss additional time, Henry Davis would be due for an uptick in playing time behind the plate.

The Cardinals recalled Graceffo from Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Dani Wexelman of Cardinals.tv reports.

Graceffo was just optioned to Memphis last Friday and did not make an appearance during his brief stint with the team's top minor-league affiliate. The righty will provide a fresh bullpen arm as the Cardinals open up a five-game series against the rival Brewers on Monday.

The Cardinals placed Rajcic on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right elbow injury.

Manager Oliver Marmol revealed that Rajcic felt elbow soreness after his last appearance Friday, and he's being sent for a second opinion before a more specific diagnosis is revealed, per Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat. The rookie reliever has yielded five runs with an 8:6 K:BB over nine innings out of the Cardinals' bullpen since being called up last month.

Nootbaar is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Brewers.

The lefty-swinging Nootbaar will grab a seat as the Brewers use southpaw Shane Drohan in the series opener. Nelson Velazquez will patrol left field and hit cleanup for the Cardinals.

Volpe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Volpe had started in four of the Yankees' previous five games but went just 3-for-17 with a walk during that stretch. Jose Caballero will cover Volpe's usual spot at shortstop in the series opener.

Burleson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

The left-handed-hitting Burleson is slashing only .188/.215/.238 versus lefty hurlers, so the Cardinals will give him some rest as the Brewers send southpaw Shane Drohan to the hill. Blaze Jordan will slide across the diamond to first base, and Jose Fermin will occupy the hot corner.

Trammell is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Trammell will head to the bench after he went 4-for-21 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and three runs while starting in the Astros' last seven games. Brice Matthews will replace Trammell in center field and will bat ninth.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Uceta has yet to resume throwing and will meet with a doctor to have his nagging right shoulder injury examined, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Uceta has been limited to four rehab appearances due to a right shoulder strain and has remained shut down since he suffered a setback in late May. It's unclear whether surgery to address the injury is a possibility, but even if a procedure isn't on the table, Uceta is nowhere close to being ready to pitch in a game.
