O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

O'Hearn started the previous 16 games -- included two versus left-handed pitchers -- but will take a seat after posting a .300/.310/.500 slash line with five doubles, three homers and 17 RBI during that span. Marcell Ozuna will serve as the designated hitter against Philadelphia ace Cristopher Sanchez.

McLain worked out in center field pregame Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

The Reds have lost Blake Dunn (elbow) and Dane Myers (shoulder) indefinitely, creating a need for a right-handed-hitting center fielder. McLain has never played the outfield in pro ball, but he was used there extensively in college at UCLA and also saw some action in center field during the Arizona Fall League. Edwin Arroyo has surged past McLain as the Reds' top option at second base versus righties, so McLain proving capable in the outfield would give him another path to playing time.

The Royals transferred Kolek (personal) from the paternity list to the family medical emergency list Tuesday.

The right-hander was scratched from his start Friday against the White Sox in order to be placed on the paternity list, and this transaction will allow him to spend more time away from the team. It's unclear if Kolek is expected to be back with the Royals for his next turn through the rotation, which lined up for Thursday versus Tampa Bay.

Keller (forearm) completed a live batting practice session Tuesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Phillies manager Don Mattingly said that Keller's next time throwing could be in a rehab game. The reliever looks to be on track to rejoin the big-league bullpen before the All-Star break. He's missed the last two weeks of action with right forearm tendinitis.

The Brewers recalled Stallings from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

The right-hander is getting his first promotion to the majors after posting a 3.36 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 61:22 K:BB across 67 innings for Nashville this season. Stallings has started in 12 of his 17 appearances at Triple-A this year, but he's likely to work out of the bullpen with the big club.

Parker has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 UCL sprain in his left elbow and is likely to undergo Tommy John surgery, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

A full Tommy John repair could sideline Parker until 2028, though he would have a chance to make it back late in the 2027 season if all goes well. The left-hander has collected a 6.58 ERA and 34:13 K:BB over 39.2 innings out of the Washington bullpen this season. Parker is slated for arbitration eligibility for the first time this coming offseason, though he could be a non-tender candidate.

Diaz (shoulder) is batting leadoff as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Royals.

The 34-year-old departed Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks due to a left shoulder strain, but he's good to go for Tuesday's series opener following Monday's team off day. Diaz has carried a scorching bat in June with a .391/.468/.489 slash line in 25 games, though he has just seven extra-base hits (six doubles and one homer).

The Rangers recalled Collyer from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Collyer will give the Rangers' bullpen a fresh arm after the club used five pitchers in Monday's win over the Guardians. The 25-year-old was unscored upon in his first 11 outings earlier this season but was sent to Round Rock after posting an 8.59 ERA and 7:10 K:BB over his last seven outings.

Manager Aarone Boone said Tuesday that Fried (elbow) is scheduled to throw another session of live batting practice Sunday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Fried faced live batters Tuesday for the first time since landing on the injured list in mid-May, and he apparently came out of the simulated game with no issues. The left-hander will likely throw a bullpen session within the next few days before ramping up his workload during the live session Sunday. Fried isn't likely to rejoin the Yankees' rotation prior to the All-Star break but could be reinstated before the end of July.

The Rangers designated Paddack for assignment Tuesday.

It appears Paddack's stint with the Rangers will end after just one day. He was signed to a major-league contract Monday before giving up two runs over four innings in a bulk-relief appearance versus the Guardians. Paddack is a safe bet to pass through waivers and elect free agency.
