Nimmo (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

The veteran outfielder will sit for a second consecutive game after being diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. Nimmo is undergoing additional testing Tuesday, which could help to determine whether or not he'll require a trip to the injured list.

Acuna (hamstring) went through a full pregame workout at Truist Park in Atlanta on Tuesday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

It's a big step for Acuna, who is on the 10-day injured list for the second time this season with a strained left hamstring. He missed nearly three weeks of action the first time and has already been out longer than that this time around. Going through a full workout suggests Acuna could be nearing a return to games, but Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said it's a "long shot" the outfielder returns before the All-Star break. Acuna could be back for the beginning of the second half, however.

The Brewers optioned Gasser to the rookie-level ACL Brewers on Tuesday.

The left-hander seemed likely to stick on the big-league roster with the Brewers expected to utilize a six-man rotation through the All-Star break, but he's instead been jettisoned from the 26-man roster. Gasser still seems likely to get another look with Milwaukee soon since there is a doubleheader on deck next week in St. Louis.

Burleson is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Atlanta.

Burleson was hitless in the Cardinals' last series versus the Marlins and the left-handed batter is slashing only .183/.212/.237 versus southpaws this season, so he will take a seat as Atlanta sends lefty Martin Perez to the bump. It's the second straight time that Burleson has been absent from the lineup against a left-hander. Blaze Jordan will slide over to first base, and Jose Fermin will handle third base.

Rocchio is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Rangers.

It's the first day off since May 23 for Rocchio, who has slowed in June with a .225/.276/.326 slash line. Daniel Schneemann will start at shortstop for the Guardians.

Okamoto is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Okamoto will receive a day off on his 30th birthday. The Blue Jays will roll with rookie Sean Keys at third base and in the cleanup spot in Okamoto's stead.

The Phillies optioned Shugart to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

Shugart had a 3.25 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB across his first 27.2 innings of the season, but he's being demoted Tuesday after surrendering three runs in both of his past two outings. The right-hander could get another look in the big-league bullpen later in the season, but for now he'll cede his roster spot to Lou Trivino.

The Phillies selected Trivino's contract from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

The veteran right-hander gave up just two earned runs with an 8:5 K:BB across nine regular-season innings for the Phillies last season, and he'll now get another look in the big-league bullpen after making a couple appearances with Baltimore earlier this year. Trivino was dominant in 22 outings for Lehigh Valley with a 1.27 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB over 28.1 innings.

The Cardinals activated Fernandez (back) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Fernandez has been shelved for all of June due to with lower-back pain, but he's ready to go after making four rehab appearances with Triple-A Memphis. The righty reliever has been terrific in his brief time with the Cardinals this season, putting up a 1.86 ERA and 17:5 K:BB over 9.2 frames.

The Cardinals placed Stanek on the paternity leave list Tuesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Stanek will likely miss the entire three-game series in Atlanta before rejoining the St. Louis bullpen this weekend at Wrigley Field versus the Cubs. Ryan Fernandez (back) has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list to absorb Stanek's roster spot.
