Contreras went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Monday's 6-3 win over the Nationals.

Contreras launched a 421-foot, three-run blast over the Green Monster to put the Red Sox on the board in the first inning. The first baseman got just one more plate appearance before being ejected by first base umpire Nic Lentz following a strikeout in the second frame, with Andruw Monasterio taking over at first base. Contreras has enjoyed an excellent 2026 campaign, slashing .282/.376/.533 with 18 homers, 53 RBI, 41 runs and a stolen base across 81 games.

Matthews (4-5) earned the win over Houston on Monday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Matthews gave up just one extra-base hit Monday, a fifth-inning solo homer by Cam Smith. That was also the only run the righty-handed hurler allowed en route to his third straight quality start. Matthews matched his season high with seven punchouts and needed a modest 89 pitches (59 strikes) to cover seven frames, tying his longest outing of the campaign. He's had two seven-run clunkers this season but has given up three or fewer runs in each of his other seven starts, putting him at a decent 4.15 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 46:12 K:BB through 56.1 innings overall.

Whitlock picked up the save in Monday's 6-3 victory over Washington. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two over a scoreless inning.

With Aroldis Chapman unavailable after pitching in each of the previous two days, per Christopher Smith of MassLive.com, Whitlock was called upon in the ninth inning and got the job done to secure his first save of the season. Since returning June 9 from a stint on the injured list due to left knee inflammation, the right-hander has allowed one run across eight innings with a 7:0 K:BB. Overall, Whitlock owns a 2.60 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 32:6 K:BB across 27.2 innings while serving as one of Boston's highest-leverage relievers, though he isn't likely to see regular save opportunities while Chapman is in the picture.

The Diamondbacks will recall Pfaadt from Triple-A Reno to start Tuesday's game against the Giants in Arizona, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Pfaadt had been expected to slot into the rotation for last Friday's game against the Rays, but the Diamondbacks elected to change their pitching plans after a rainout Thursday. The right-hander will instead toe the rubber for Tuesday's matchup, marking his first start with the big club since April 11, after which he was moved to the bullpen and later demoted to Triple-A. Pfaadt owns a 5.92 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with a 31:17 K:BB across 38 innings in the majors this season.

Mikolas (2-7) took the loss Monday, allowing six runs on nine hits and no walks over seven innings in a 6-3 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out three.

Mikolas was ambushed early, allowing four runs on two homers in just the first frame before giving up another run in both the second and third innings. Despite his poor showing early on, the Nationals stuck with the right-hander to eat innings and he managed to dig in and complete seven frames on 97 pitches (68 strikes). The 37-year-old has had only brief moments of success while largely struggling throughout the 2026 campaign. Mikolas will take a 5.44 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 47:17 K:BB across 84.1 innings (18 appearances) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Pirates.

Canning completed 4.1 innings against the Cubs on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three batters in a no-decision.

Canning returned to a traditional starting role Monday after working behind an opener in each of his previous two starts. The veteran righty allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base, but he got through the first three frames without giving up any runs. Canning faded in the fourth, though, allowing a run on two hits and a HBP. He returned for the fifth and recorded just one out before being pulled with two runners on base, one of whom scored following his departure. Canning wasn't abysmal Monday, but he threw only 40 of 75 pitches for strikes and didn't exactly make an emphatic statement in his battle to retain a starting spot. With German Marquez (forearm) nearing activation, it isn't certain that Canning will take his next turn in the rotation.

Suarez (4-3) earned the win Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 6-3 win over the Nationals. He struck out eight.

Suarez surrendered a leadoff homer to James Wood but settled in over the middle innings before allowing a two-run double to CJ Abrams in the sixth frame, though the southpaw still was credited with a quality start and the win. Monday capped off a stellar June, during which Suarez posted a 2.10 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB across 30 innings (five starts). The 30-year-old will take a 2.94 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 92:26 K:BB across 104 innings (18 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Angels.

Imanaga allowed two runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Monday.

The nine hits he allowed tied a season-worst mark for Imanaga, but he mostly dodged damage and gave up just two runs. The southpaw got 13 whiffs and threw 67 of 97 pitches for strikes while completing six frames for the first time over his past four starts. Imanaga has had an up-and-down June, allowing four or more runs twice and two or fewer runs three times. Overall, he holds a 4.30 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 92:23 K:BB across 98.1 frames spanning 17 starts.

Gordon (hip) will start be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Marlins at Coors Field, Suzie Hunter of GuerillaSports.net reports.

As expected, Gordon will slot back into the rotation this week after he had been on the shelf since June 5 due to a right hip impingement. The right-hander has struggled to find his footing so far this season through nine appearances (two starts), accruing a 6.37 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 35.1 innings. During his lone rehab start at Triple-A Albuquerque last week, Gordon tossed 38 pitches over four scoreless innings, so he'll likely be limited from a workload standpoint Tuesday.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-3 with two walks and a run scored in Monday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Crow-Armstrong seems to be seeing the ball well lately as he puts the finishing touches on an excellent month of baseball. In June, the star outfielder is batting .376 across 25 games, and he's contributed eight stolen bases, 10 home runs, 19 RBI and 19 runs scored. Crow-Armstrong has emerged as the catalyst of Chicago's offensive attack over the past two seasons, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.
